oh yes, and here's what I wrote them, if you were looking for an example or more reasoning:
Stevens Pass Customer Service,
I write you today to propose a new ticket in your pricing system. As a resident of Ellensburg, I have always been obligatorily loyal to the Snoqualmie season pass, but have always enjoyed the random day at Stevens to appreciate the vast terrain and incredible park. As a skier, I have always found the Stevens park far superior to that of The Summit in variety, quantity, and size of jumps. Because of this, in compound with many friends whom ski at Stevens, I always end up making the trip out at least once a year. I personally would gladly make this trip more were it not for the outstanding price of a single day ticket. I realize that daily ticket prices cannot change, but I would like to propose a Brooks-only ticket, or even season pass, that could come at a reduced price for access to that lift alone. I know that there are many others that share the same situation as me, not only with passes to Snoqualmie, but also those who don't buy season passes in fear of the commitment. This pass could also be easily marketed to the younger crowd as the park-only pass that comes at a reduced price, allowing people to get accustomed to the mountain and make them want to return and buy season passes in the future. I have seen enormous success in this strategy with The Summit and it's EZ Ski 123 program, which allows people to get 3 lessons, rentals, and passes for an attractive $99. A very large proportion of these clients turn around and buy season passes for the next year, as they have already accustomed themselves to Snoqualmie. Lastly, I truly feel that this would help with lift-line congestion on the Skyline lift. Taking Skyline and "the chutes" is often an attractive alternative to the Brooks chair as it can be somewhat faster and you get to ski some. By having the Brooks-only pass, you would shift this population from the often-crowded Skyline to Brooks, which from personal experience very seldomly has any sort of line. In all, I feel that there is a large niche in the way of reduced-price passes for your Brooks lift to service the park only. I feel that it would draw more people to your mountain, reduce lines on over-serviced lifts, and allow people to experience your mountain's atmosphere and have them wanting to come back for more. Thank you so much for your time,
