Kelly slaters winningness is getting old now, sure hes good, but IMO taj and all the rest are better, the judges just vote more for him because hes their long time friends.

u do have a point but you are quite miss-leaded. my uncle is an asp judge and i can assure you you are wrong about the friends part. taj is the future but kelly is still winning cause hes still surfing the way the asp has told the judges to judge. sure hes not bustin big air reverses but hes rackin the points else where.
and believe me i really dont like kelly. but you cant go past what he has achieved.

This is why Bruce irons left the tour, hes a newschool surfer and the judges are still judgeing oldschool style, sucks bigtime, i would rather see guy punting airs than kelly doing cutbacks, sure hes got a smooth style but airs are the new thing to do now, the ASP need to realise this.

cept he lost to andy irons sometimes and the judges totally fucking dicked slater over a couple years ago on a technicality thing to make him lose the whole title so im pretty sure you dont know what your talking about

Slater is so solid. So consistent. Andy is either hot or not so much... not as consistent yet fun to watch and insane when he is on. and yeah we all like the airs but the surfers all know what is judged and Slater has got that figured out. There are so many good surfers out there... I would hate to be a judge!
