marker has seriously stepped up their game in tems of brakes and release. If ur under 160 then I would get jesters, they r super light and i have had n problems with the release. If ur over 160 then you could get a comp 18 and just not come out of em unless u really really need.

I havent heard anythng bad about the rossi bindings but u definitley shouldnt rule out marker

What are you talking about.  If he's OVER 160 he should get jesters, otherwise get Griffons if you get Markers.  I mean he could get Jesters, but for those skis he might as well get Griffons.

Marker makes the best bindings on the market.  Rossi is seriously not nearly as good.  I'm 14 now and weigh 110 like you.  This will be my sixth year on my M900 (low end Marker) and I have mounted them on three different pairs of skis, skied 40+ times a year and they work just as good as they ever did.  The only change I ever made to them was DIN setting.  Plus being that Tecnica and Marker work in correlation that means a Tecnica boot with a Marker binding is the best possible option.  Just like a Rossi boot would be the best boot for a Rossi binding.  Marker has put a hell of a lot of time and money into the development of their freeride line too.  Marker is your best bet.  Screw your friends, get a Marker binding you'll be glad.

Anyway, you are wrong on most things.  You are so light that the bindings probably don't matter too much, and how hard do you ski?  Cause Markers are generally not that great of bindings.

To thread creator: You would be fine with a 10 din binding probably.

^^ Yeah I'm definitely lighter than the average person.  I can slay everything though at my home mountain.  Like we go out and huck 20 footers to hardpack snow.  Yeah hurts like crap but it's fun.  I'm really hard on my gear.  You're right about weight, but man I have no clue where you get the idea Marker is a bad binding.  Most people I see at my home resort are always rockin' markers and swear that they're the best bindings.  I've never heard bad about Marker so I'm surprised you say that but whatever.

Anyway, most kids on ns don't like Markers, maybe it's an ns thing.  Mostly because they used to have pre-release for park and some other stuff.  Maybe they are better now but there are other good bindings so it's probably just better to go with those.

Okay this is a bit redic.
Kid who is in love with Marker, just chill out on the recommendations a bit. Marker make solid race/piste/gaper bindings. There biometric toes are awful for park/jib/dropping though, they are way prone to exploding and prereleasing, this is because they weren't designed to be abused.
that is why Marker released the griffon and Jester. They basically dropped all the flaws in there other lines to create a solid binding. Though they are both way too pricey and unnecessary for you at the moment.
At your weight and probably the abuse you will put them through, they would be fine, but in 2years or so you will want something a little more solid, and you will have to buy new bindings. Not ideal.

Rossi Axial 120s and the look variations are likely the most tried and tested binding on NS. A lot of people have these and they are super good. Durable has hell, have no real issues that come to mind. Apart from the non pivot heel but that's not essential. The vertical release toe is a bonus too. they are also a real good price binding man, so buy with confidence. There are also other options s let us know if you want anything else.

They are a good choice for you man, and will last longer than your said markers, you will be able to put these on your next skis and the ones after that. I have a pair on one of my skis at the moment, they still get dropped on cliffs, I'm 6ft and 165lbs.

Also, the company specific boot to binding thing up there is just stupid. There is an industry standard that means all toe and heel heights are standard, and width, the same on bindings with contact zones. Every brand boot works with every brand of binding and visa versa.
So have no worries with that at all.

Bro, please read my post up there, and actually read it, what does it say?

It basically says that the Rossis are a sure bet where as the Markers are a risk. They can work, but they can explode and prerelease. So many toe pieces that come in to my shop for replacement or warranty are marker. They are not good freeski bindings in most peoples eyes.

The rossi or Looks are fantastic except for their extra weight, but that is not too noticable.

Buy the Rossis and feel seure and worry free.Buy the Markers and maybe lose out.

Listen to Rascal- he knows what he's talking about.  If you want a binding that you will eventually break then go for the markers.

My buddy busted the shit out of his markers last year.

I had rossis, they were fine. And I ski the fuck out of my skis.

The only time I ever had a problem with them was an overshot 80 foot long 5 to broken brake.

The store fixed it easily.

id either go with axiel 120s or 100 or 110s will all be fine, as well as look px12s/10 they are the same as rossi 120 and 100s.


or marker griffons, they will all be solid for a guy your size/weight, and assuming youre gonna grow as your only 14, i think you said, youll be getting new skis,a dn probs new bindings as well. anyof the above willbe great for ya. id stay away from markers like the 11.0s and 12.0s they arent great unless youre just rollin on groomers/not park.
