i rember some one doing it here and if so do u boil the water i kow u do it with rollerblade parts but do you have to boil the water as hot with cbar parts if u can dye them? help ?
1- put rit dye into the water in a little at a time checking the color of the water
2- Boil it and stir it good.
3 let the water cool off A LITTLE you still want it to be to be hot but not boiling. put the outriggers or frames or whatever in and leave them in for a little while
*just tie a string to them and pull them out to check the color every so often.
they take color faster than you would think so check the color often
well shit, i traded parts with a kid for one day and now instead of all red i have a red frame, one black outrigger, and one oakley text outrigger with a tan strap, i feel like a pirate.
U put some in a old pot boil water. tye a string around the piece and put it in after the water cools a bit. it need to still be hot though. and check often cause it will dye fast.
as far as the black bit goes.... you will not be able to die them another color. It is a transparent dye meaning that what ever color it starts out of will remain. So if what you started with was bright blue, you could only go to green/dark green/dark blue, purple, brown, or black. To get green you could use green or yellow. To get brown you could use orange. To get purple red. Because black is the darkest you can get, there is nothing that will lighten it. The only thing you can do is paint it with a flat/opaque paint such as spray paint and then put a varnish on it.
