Salomon STH 14/16? vs Marker Jester

So I'm getting a pair of Armada JJs and I'm not sure whether to get a pair of Salomon STH 14/16 (Not sure which DIN I'd prefer) or a pair of Marker Jesters.
I've been a big fan of Salomon for years now. But since I need a new pair of pow skis this year and the fact that Salomon doesn't offer a fully rockered ski I'm going with the trusty JJs.

Good choice on the JJs, they are a great ski.
I would say either go with the STH16 or the Jester. The STH 16 is a much better binding than the 14 from what I understand. I have the 16s on my EP Pros and so far they work like magic. I have also heard great things about the jesters though, so I would say between those two. If anything, I would say it comes down to price.

sth 14 has a different toe piece. sth 14 driver has the same toepiece as the sth 16. i think.

That is true although it does not seem the STH 14 Drivers are coming to the US/North America. If you look at the European Salomon site they have the STH 14 Drivers listed but not on the US's site.

That is unfortunate, the STH14 driver looks damn good.
My opinion is that if price is no object, get the jesters. The wider mounting pattern is better for a fat ski like the JPs, and they as as bombproof (if not moreso) than the STH16s. You'd probably be well off with either though, and if cash is tight, get whatever one you can find the cheapest.

Ya, the driver looks bad ass.
Go with Jesters. I used them all last year on Bacons and they were sick.

if go sth 16's over 14's, i believe they are all metal, but imno t completeley sure. but if you can get em jesters. i used them all last year, but not on pow skis, on walls. they were great, and the wide footprint is better for wider pow skis, idk if the sth 16s are as wide as the jesters . but both really solid bindings either way.

if you can find 14 drivers then go for them but i'd go with sth 16's, they're super sick bindings, i had a pair for a little bit but traded them out because the din range was too high for my liking but they're for sure sick bindings
the 3 hole toepiece on the 14 is crap

Salo 16 I think
Heard about troubles with Duke and Jester (bad boot fixation).

I loved my STH 16's, the boot hold was amazing. HOWEVER..... I mounted them on my Hellbents using the 130mm brake, and the brake stuck out like .5-.75 inches over the edge of the ski. Huge 180's to landing on edge = broke as fuck brake housing. I ended up just taking that side of the brake out, but having to chase your skis through the trees is not fun. Good thing the skis were so fat they left a perfect trail to find them.
