Hey guys,
I've been a ski instructor in flat Manitoba for 7 years during the winters, and i'm finally in a situation where I have some cash and would like to move out to Whistler and work for the winter.
I've applied through the website with a resume and cover letter, i'm 22 and physically fit with all of the gear of course.. Level 1 CSIA Ski Instructor and Level 1 Race Coaching, coached slalom for Manitoba Games and have competed in big airs etc in the area, what little there is of them. I would be down for certifying for anything and would be glad to work 6 days a week. It's Sept 29. today and I applied a few days ago. I'm just curious if anyone knows what my chances of getting on are, and if staff housing will be an option. I have 3k in the bank, but I know that won't last long unless I can find a place to live. I'm really not picky, I don't need alot of space and I get along with virtually everyone I meet.
Just wondering if anyone can give me any insight on this or if there's something I should be rushing to do right now! I know this probably comes up -alot- here, but I'm hoping you guys can help a fellow skiier out who REALLY wants to get out of the land of ski hills with 300 ft. vertical if you want to travel a few hours...
Thanks!
Neil
