New to MSU, need some help

I know there is already a thread that stresses some of the pros and cons of big sky moonlight and bridger, but I am look for any additional advice you could give me.  I am going to MSU the second semester and will hopefully be skiing 4 days a week.  I know bridger is closer, but isnt there a free buss to big sky?  I grew up skiing a week or 2 a year in summit county from the time I was 3 and like to ski some of everything.  I don't know anyone in Montana and figured I meet some people that ski and go hit the mountain they go to but that would work with the pass deadlines.  Any input would be great.

if you like summit country resort type stuff i would prolly recommend big sky

Yeah, there's a free bus that runs from a few places in town to Big Sky/Moonlight every day.  It's not as fast as driving yourself, but with gas prices now it's still awesome.

If you ski park at all you'll definitely want to be heading up to Big Sky or Moonlight.  Bridger has awesome hike-to terrain and backcountry going for it, and tends to get bigger storms (less predictably).  Everything on Lone Peak except A-Z and Headwaters can be accessed by lift, which is quite nice sometimes.

Yeah, with the whole gas thing I figured any day I was not car pooling I would take the bus.  Whats the student scene like at bridger and big sky/moonlight.  Is the weekends packed with students and the weekdays dead?  Is it easy to meet up with other people that are really passinate about skiing and chill about having new people ride with them?  I am from an area that no one understands what I am really taking about when I say I like to ski.  They all think of downhill and long distance ski jumping, only the things they see in the olympics, thus I would love to make some ski edits and I was wondering how hard it is to hook up with someone to do a little filming?  These all probably seem like dumb questions but like I said, this is the first time I will be able to ski real mountains on a regular basis and every day I get 10 times more amped than the day before kinda like all I do is sit and dream about winter.  any info would be helpful.

Hahahahahaha that might be the most positive thing i have ever heard you say about lone peak.

ill be at big sky weekends all winter. if you see a kid in a white smith holt and a plaid jacket holler. thatll be me

If you are as genuinely stoked and excited about skiing out here as your post seems to indicate, you shouldn't have ANY problem finding people to ride/film with.  Snow in the forecast!!!

That edit was real sick.  Do a lot of guys ride backcounty stuff and build booters and the like.  I was kinda thinking about getting a 4 season tent to do some camping, are there many people into that?  I also wondered if most poeple get the lone peak pass or just the big sky pass.
