how can i do this?

I have adobe premiere pro, I have multiple shots with action going on, then the camera pans to the left and someone is blocking the frame, the camera continues panning and the action appears on the other side. I want to edit these shots together to make a different shot appear on the other side of the person. any body know or under stand what i am saying?

ummm, it is possible to do that if the person completely blocks the action (top to bottom) i think it would only be possible to do it smoothly if the shot you are transferring to is a skier going off the same jump filming from the same location... otherwise, that is going to be super hard and probably not enough software power with premier.... but there might be things in premier that i am not aware of.

It's not impossible, but it is time consuming. You have to use a masking layer. Take the footage one with the person blocking, duplicate the layer, make it black and white, and crank up the contrast. It should look like a silouette on white (if the contrast isn't that high to begin with, you can't do it this way). Then just make that a mask layer. Or, you can export the footage as a Targa sequence and use photoshop to create a layer mask on every frame. Save them as 32bit targa's and re-import them back into Premiere.
