Replying to Why does anyone want tax cuts?

Why the hell would anyone want tax cuts with the current economic situation in the US? Obviously, people naturally like to keep their money, understandable. But with the ongoing financial issues with the banks, the war in Iraq, the Social Security issues about to come forth as the baby boomers retire, and the health care costs to name a few, how can we possibly afford to give more tax breaks? Maybe I'm wrong (and there's definitely a chance I am) but we need to buckle down and get our budget back to a point where we won't be pushing on the edge of inevitable bankruptcy.

Like I said, I could be wrong, someone just please enlighten me.
