i might get into bitch mode, so forgive me.
soooo, such is life really kinda sucked, there definatly were good shots and tricks, but like half way through the movie i just found myself fast forwarding through the rest.
first of all, it was like i was staring at a light bulb the entire time, every shot has this annoying glowing look, like everything in the picture is bright as shit, its like watching glowing blobs fly through a glowing white background, it was pissing me off, it didnt even look real, it was like watching a video game. and maybe thats what made it boring, cause video games are rediculiously boring to watch, only fun to play.
then the tricks, i think this movie actually made me not want to ski, half the movie was just people flipping and spinning like gymnasts, it looked like shit and the least fun thing ever. no creativity, just people skiing like its the super bowl.
then the bc stuff, i just found it boring, there were awesome bc jumps and stuff, but again for some wierd reason, it just bugged me. i think it was a cobination of the terrible look of the shots, and the generic bc stuff.
then the big mountain, i just skipped that, cause it is really boring big mountain and doesnt really fit the movie very well.
so what i think they need to do, stop color correcting like a crazy person and get some good looking shots, or they need to go back to their vx2000's or whatever cause actually i liked the picture from corduroy much more, it felt like actual real life skiing instead of wierd as video game skiing. they need to go back to their normal rage style, in their older movies i really liked how they would have cool shots in tree's fisheye shots in akward places, and backcountry jumps landing in hardpack, music that went with the skiing etc.... like tim's part from booter crunk, with that drop off that concrete thing, the rest of his segment, sammy's parts, and kyler cooley from corduroy, wiley miller in corduroy all those segments are ones some of my favorites ever, but i just want to forget all of such is life.
except was it jordan seldin?? he was good, i liked his stuff, it gave some originality to it.
but anyway turbo was awesome
