Need Some Grammer Help FAST please (+ Karma given)

i have an assignment due by email at 4:00 tonight and i cant figure out what is wrong with this sentence. im sure its obvious (all the other ones on the assignment were) but i just cant find out whats not correct in it. if you can help out, ill give some karma.

here it is:



At the turn of the century, the press was the media that affected North Americans the most profoundly.

You needed to drop the 'the' before profoundly.

Oh, and you spelt grammar wrong.

I would change it to. At the turn of the century, the press was the media that most profoundly affected North Americans.

Seems like the "the" is the problem, but the sentence structure feels off too.
