Defects in skis

i just ordered a pair of 08 dumonts for 250 new. anyway when i get them wat defects should i look for, cuase my friend got a pair of tnk's from a few years ago and it was like the edge was assembled in multiple pieces

You mean like there was a small like 1 mm spot between the edges at the tip and tails? I think all 4frnt skis have that because they don't use full wrap edges.

there was that. and also at like tru center there was a tiny crack that began to seperate over the course of the year

I guess just look over the skis really carefully, I think Salomons quality control would be more stringent than 4frnt's, especially 4frnt a few years ago, just because Salomon is so much bigger a company.

i am the friend with tnks. i think that the cracks might have been from rails but i didn't hit that many rails. the edges in the tip and tail also came out. they were the first year of tnks so i think they just needed to sort out those problems. those dumonts are the first year or dumont, correct? maybe you should look close at the edges
