^ya, realtime kills it!  the whole movie is just so fluent!  best soundtrack ever in my opinion.

ya wheres realtime in this? the rest I can live with, I really "enjoyed" the realtime soundtrack though, I think they really "pushed" the bar up high for this year.

I gotta admit I did like REALTIME as well... Josh Berman is good at what he does. The difference between 5th, 6th and 7th was pretty damn close.

Peoples’ Choice Award – Best Soundtrack in 2008

The snow is starting to fall in the mountains and dedicatedskiers are standing in lines to watch the new ski film premieres. This means it is once again time toannounce the Ski Movie Music 2008 People’s Choice Award for Best Soundtrack.

The top five for this year are:

5th place: Matchstick Production’s 2006 releaseof Push.
4th place: Rage Film’s 2007 release of Enjoy.
3rd place: Tanner Hall’s 2007 release of Believe.
2nd place: Poor Boyz Production’s 2007 release ofYeah Dude.
First place goes to Matchstick Production’s 2007 release of SevenSunny Days.

"We're honored to win the Ski Movie Music.com Peoples’Choice Award two years running, “ said Micheal Hans of Matchstick Productions. “We work really hard on our music selections for our annual ski films andit's great to see that people are making a connection with the music wechoose." Matchstick Productions destroyed the competition again this yearwith another first place for two years in a row, placing twice in the top fiveand placing a total of six times in the top 25.

Warren Miller and Poor Boyz Productions were also notablewinners of this year’s awards. Warren Miller took sixth place with Off the Grid as well as three other spots in the top 25. Poor Boyz Productions also took fourspots in this year’s list with the film Yeah Dude finishing second.

“Our whole goal with these awards is to keep pushingproduction companies to be original and make sure the music we are hearingkeeps us just as stoked as what we are watching.” Said Jesse Lakes, founder of SkiMovieMusic.com. “Throwing a couple good songs into theedit just doesn’t cut it anymore”

The winners were chosen based on a year’s worth of trafficto SkiMovieMusic.com’s selection of ski movie soundtracks. Each visit to a soundtrack’s pagecounted as a vote allowing everyone who used the site to have a voice on whatthey thought was the best soundtrack of all time.

I just watched SSD and the music is absolutely horrendous. Like mute-ably horrendous. Which is not out of character for MSP. However this is based on which soundtrack links have the most clicks on the website... in other words, if I go to see what that terrible, ungodly song was in Push so that I might never experience such pain again, I am counted as "voting" for Push. Of course not many people click on a soundtrack for that reason. It's probably got more to do with the fact that a lot more people watched SSD and Push than watched Idea.

Word up!

Everytime I drive someone somewhere they ask if they can have the soundtrack so I keep like 5 copies of it in my glovebox.
