I am actually the happiest person on the planet right now i promise. My dad just came up huge and ordered my skis at work today. I just got 09 Bacons with Jesters. They come in 3-5 days and i can't wait.

This may seem like a pointless thread to you, but i can't believe this. Thanks Mom and Dad!

That's cool, if i had to buy my stuff, i wouldn't have spent that much though. I offered to pay some of the money for it because it added up to almost $1000 for the setup, and he was like "no, it was a birthday present."

ya i was a money cruncher but still spent a grand. 400 on 2 suits. 30 on gloves. 50 on a new helmet. 465 on skis with bindings. and other stuff. still have to buy some jiberish stuff tho

I've already spent over 1,000 dollars on gear, and i still need to buy skis. FOr the first year ever, I am getting all new gear. I normally use gear for 3 to 5 years before i get new stuff.

It's cool in a way, new boots, bindings, outerwear, but it just doesn't look like 1,000 dollars worth of ski gear.

Well, that's going to make at least two of us on '09 SFBs and Marker bindings (Barons for me) up at Alpy and Snoquompton.  You'll love them though, great all around fat ski.

what the heck did you buy that cost 2 grand all together? and do you buy new stuff every year? my friends do that and it kinda annoys me. y buy a new suit for like $500 when the one you had the year before, and the year before that, were perfectly fine?

last year (this year killed my wallet): Anthems, Bacons, Mojo 15's, Jesters, Coat from ns, $200 pants, ski pass ($375), helmet, Full Tilts, some other stuff too I'm sure

This year:  Donner Party, Jesters, Baker season pass ($600), down coat for cold ass weather, Avalanche stuff (this is way expensive), avvy classes

So no, I don't buy new coat/pants every year unless my old ones don't fit/don't work anymore.  I only have 2 different suits anyway.  As far as skis, I just keep buying stuff for my quiver, nothing wrong with that.  I'm sure a lot of kids spend more than me.  And I work for everything, I don't just have my parents buy it.

So lucky. Last year I got a rain jacket from the ski swap as my birthday present. I'm like this isn't ski coat. This year I need new boots and he wants to get some used crap from the ski swap again. Fuck that I'll buy it myself and get something good.

starting last march i think i spent 60 on 2 pairs of pants, 50 on 2 pairs of gloves, 70 on goggles, like 700 on 3 pairs of skis, 300 on 3 pairs of bindings, and boots my parents got for me, and the rest was spillover from last season.

haha so the price you got your 09 bacons with jesters for was the same i got 07 bacons with sth 12, moment tahoes with fks 155, and 09 bluehouse mr's w/ fks 120
