Marijuana Fucked Me

This shit is serious so if your just gonna be stupid leave now... Thanks.

Alright so right now my parents are at Starbucks figuring out what to do with me because they found out that I've smoked weed and drank several times... They found out solely because my step dad is a snoop and looked at my gtalk (like AIM or MSN messenger) chats that were saved automatically by gmail and well i left it up not thinking. So my dad got back yesterday night from Europe, so my mom and stepdad have known about this for about 2 weeks... Well they obviously don't trust anything I say anymore. My dad is dissapointed in me and wants me to go to church and "life teen" now which is like having a terrible beating. Also their talking about me needing better grades to go skiing. And they don't trust me with my somewhat "girlfriend" and think all I want out of her is sex which is completely not true at all.

So they'll be back later and want to have a conversation with me. So what should I do or say to regain trust and have less punishment?

not much you can do now, just try to obey them, don't do anything stupid, get good grades and don't go out that much. just say that they're absolutely right and you were an idiot to drink and smoke weed, if you put up a fight you'll go nowhere. don't be a kissass but act like you're genuinely sorry and you've learned your lesson

shit man that sucks, my best friends parents creeped his FB messages when he was away from the computer and found out that him and i smoked dank at least once and now he's at a drug camp and i'm not allowed to see him for three months. fucking sucks. oh and life teen, i know of that shit, some fags at my school go to it, it's like the lamest shit eva.

tell them you'll never do it again and that you really like your girlfriend and basically anything that you know will make them happy. the faster you get this shit done with, the better.

be very apologetic and tell them that you know it was wrong of you to do all that and that you wont let them down again and just kinda kiss up but be somewhat sincere so that theyll at least somehwat believe you, if youre not already truthful.

do your absolute best to comply, and make your arguments based on something you can give them. those things you mentioned are only partially your choice while you live in there house. earn the skiing by doing your best in school. earn the girl by proving to your parents whatever they want (within reason). dont smoke. its their responsibility to keep you out of illegal activities. because they can be held responsible for your actions.

its not always for the worst. if i had not rebelled so hard earlier in life i might be a little farther ahead right now. that being said, prepare yourself (academically and responsibility wise, like can you handle a job and finances) so you can move the hell out when it is best for you. whether to college or on your own at 18 like me. just remember, shits tough on the streets so get your act together.

not to be melodramatic but it sounds sorta similar to me and really it was more my problem then my parents. aka, pay to play. get ready to grow up if you want to make grown up decisions.

If all you care about it getting out of trouble, like there are no morals involved you could play 2 cards:

1) Im depressed and it helps me escape.

2) You guys put too much pressure on me and sometimes i just need to let loose.


If you don't want to blame other people for your bad desitions then just be like:

You: Mom, i'm not a bad kid everyone my age does shit like this occationaly. I'm not alone. I know it's wrong but its not like im doing it everyday fucking my life up. I'm fine. And if it makes you feel better i won't do it anymore becuas i don't need any of those substances to feel good. I'll be just fine minus weed and alcohol.

Mom: Well your still grounded.

You: I understand your mad but i just want you to know i'm sorry i disappointed you. I love you guys. We'll talk more later. Good night.

your old enough now that you could move out and live with a freind, but that would only work if you didint plan on going to college, if you do then dont try and argue with them about it. also you could show them the movie "super high me" it might show them that weed dosent really hinder your abillty to do important things.

No my parents haven't smoked before but my step-dad hasn't said whether he has or not...

Also, I live in Seattle, Washington so you can see why they would go to Starbucks...

I watched that over the weekend and well my bro like asked me why I watched that movie and I said because it seemed interesting to see the difference between being sober for 30 days and high for 30 days and that there wasn't much of a difference.

Marijuana isn't that bad of a drug, in fact it's much safer than Alcohol.  Don't be a pussy and let your parents walk all over you about a subject they aren't fully educated on while you probably are.  Teach them why marijuana isn't as bad as the Above the INfluence commercials say they are.  Teach them that Marijuana has been proven in clinical studies to actually break down tumors in lab rats.  Remind them that the illegal state of underage drinking causes more problems than it solves.  Teach  them (and stress this one) that having marijuana illegal wastes their hard earned tax dollars. 




Do i need to provide more reasons to help you or is this a good start?  Just don't lie. Lying will only get you in more shit.

yo dude... same thing happened to me in january. my mom caught me on her birthday, which happens to be january 11. my mom obviously grounded me for a month. so take whatever punishment they give you. next, just try a little harder in school. i worked a little harder and got to ski. if your friends are major potheads like mine, it really sucks cause my mom was like your stepdad and went through everything and found messages that linked my friends to my hobby. basically... prove that you are mature enough. i stopped smoking for a while and my parents trust me. and that should be plenty of time for ski season. screw church, it won't teach you how to be a better kid, just a better christian. always compromise. good luck.

i dunno man, your 17 , i mean you should be able to make your own decisions by now, i mean i could understand if you were liek a stoner but you sound like you have only smoked occasionally and your parents dont let you drink at 17? if you apologize and do your best in school and they are still made at you then get a job and move in with someone

tell them that your parents divorcing made you sad and you're all stressed with life so ur smoking to make you happy. and show them superhighme and say that you're not smoking nearly that much, so its doing nothing.

Tell your parents to back off, you're 17. Ask them about their drug and alcohol past, it'll make them think. They probably started drinking around your age (depending on how old they are) and more than likely smoked if they were teens anywhere from the 60s-80s. Just call them out on their shit when they call you out.

Because in America they have a stupid law that says only 21+ can legally drink. My parents don't care about me drinking around them but they don't like the fact of drinking with them not around.

both you and your parents need to realise that it's only marijuana and it's not the end of  the world. it's still possible to succeed in school and smoke a little pot and get faced on weekends. but i guess that comes with time... after you grad from highschool, it's all gravy.

It doesn't matter what your opinion is on the subject of marijuana.  It's not an excuse when you're talking to your parents like this.  It's still illegal as is drinking underage and they obviously don't want him to get into any serious trouble with it.  I don't care about it personally, but I will never let my kids do anything that could screw up their life for a while (i.e. getting caught with a significant amount of pot by the cops).

your preaching to the choir bro, i am also 17, and i smoked weed every day u until my parents drug tested me randomly, and now i am fucked. trust went out the window because obviously now they no i lied about smoking all the times that i did. So my advice to you is this. Fuck it man just give in, no use fighting a battle you cant win. Not smoking has been rough for me but i gotta do it cuz i get drug tests alot now, and its just not worth it buying detox or anything its just easier to quit. But hey if your like me, your prolly a senior, or a junior idk, so if you think about it, pretty soon you will be out of the house and you will be able to do whatever you want for the rest of your life. Might as well be your parents bitch for a month, cuz theres no way out trust me ive tried everything untill i said fuck it, stopped trying to be sneaky and quit weed.

plus i just do mad other shit that doesnt show up on my parents stupid home test. who wants some sally-d son?

no terrible idea dont smoke while your under close watch stupidest thing you can do. just dont smoke itll be better in the long run youll gain controll.  just listen to them explain it was a dumb choice and that you regret it. in the next week or so tell them that you have alot more energy and feel more awake tell them that you have matured over the stage of smoking and drinking

Are you the oldest of your siblings or first to be caught for drinking or smoking? i ask because my brother was the older child and he got caught for the first time senior year and about 10 more times that year every time my parents thought it was because he didnt love them which was completley rediculous and my brother was too weak to talk to them about it so he took the punishment and kept doing it which resulted in more and more problems...dont do this. when i got caught i basically said mom, dad you guys mean the world to me and no matter what i will always love you. if you really dont want me drinking or smoking i wont but it hasnt changed me as a person in any bad way. after i said that theyve let me drink and they make fun of me for smoking with no hard feelings. so i guess just say your love for them is unconditional.

fuck that shit im tellin you, do bitch shit for your parents and pass drug test untill either it blows over, and you smoke again but also being smart about it, or wait till you go to college or move out and smoke weed allll fucking day son. also if you get tested like me, go for shit that wont show up on home tests. ex: beer, mushrooms, salvia (which is legal in most states and fucking sweet if you wanna trip balls) or just smoke some hookah. you wont get as good as being high, but shisha gives you a pretty good buz if you smoke a fat bowl of it in a hooka. theres also crazy shit you could do like dmt or acid, but thats some heavy shit i wouldnt recomend either of them. most home tests test for THC (weed) cocaine and crack, and heroine. but if your getting a home test for the coke or heroine maybe you should get drug tested hahaha
