Hey, I'm looking at mountain schools in VT and was wondering if anyone goes to Okemo or any-others. Okemo looks super legit but im looking for like some inside experience from kids. Thanks
OMS is sick. The coaches are suuper good guys. Their real knowledgeable and fun to shred with. Overall OMS is a good time. Go meet with or contact Chris Marks if your interested in the school.
i know a really annoying racer kid who went to OMS but aside from his annoying-ness it sounds sick, they let you ride the mtn when it's closed and the coaches are good as well, sounds like a good place
I went there for my senior year of HS after going to KMS for the first 3 years of HS. I now coach at okemo on weekends. Its a legit program, several 4bi9 riders went there and 2 still go there. Okemo is also fairly responsive to OMS coaches when it comes to how the park is constructed. Your on snow training especially with regaurd to freeride will be top notch. The school experince is the same as any other mountain school, you get out of it what you put in.
Getting in is based on grades and skiing ability and it varies year to year depending on how many people are going to school there. As far as college preparation like i said you get out f it what you put in. I ended up fine in go to Union College.

Getting in is really easy, you could apply now and get in no problem, they'll prob. tell you that you can't but I swear they will.
Chris Marks the head coach is one of my greatest friends, biggest role models, and one of the best coaches I've ever known. You'll love the school and the skiing as long as your there to improve and have a blast.
The only way you wont like it, is if you wine the whole time like a brat, don't try anything, and be unfriendly...
I can tell you a little bit about other mtn. schools in Vermont.
Killington dosn't offer a freeride program even if they say they'll "put one together." Mount Snow is pretty dope, the coaches are really dope guys and good skiers. Stratton dosn't seem that well to me for some reason, and not that friendly.
Waterville Academy is one other option, and its a dope school. The main coach is Dan Schuffleton whos a real dope guy, good skier, and great coach from what I've heard.
Oh yah, did I mention that the roots of 4bi9 are from OMS. AJ Dakoulas, Andrew Napier, godamn the list goes on!!
Def go to OMS. I get to ride around with the OMS crew on weekends, and everyone is super legit. Marks and Bruno are some of the best coaches and nicest guys you'll ever meet. I wish I could add more input, but Holson pretty much covered everything, and he actually goes (went?) to OMS.
