Weeds and Skiing

   I have been having a debate with my roomates.  I say that when stoned one can ski just as well and charge as hard on anything.  They however say that weed and skiing don't mix.  Anyone else out there like to smoke and ski?

my favorite thing in the world... i deffinately charge harder when im high, especially in trees and park... some people say it makes them nervous or envision themselves falling though.... personal preference

never tried it, don't need to. skiing is enough of a natural high for me that i don't need drugs to make it any better.

a lot of guys i ride with do, but it just makes me afraid of everything to be honest. some guys need it to charge but i just need some redbull and that gets the job done pretty solid.

its fun especially when your skiing down the same run all day hitting park like in CT.  i dont ussually try shit i know i cant do because ive ate shit real hard a couple times and i learned my lesson.  i just fuck around and have fun instead of getting all intense when im blazed.  but i must say jumps are alot of fun

its soo fun. on big jumps i get sketched sometimes but other than that soo much fun.
i do this joke of a race team just so i can go to the mountain durring the week and everyone gets ripped and its soo much fun. like while im racing ill try to race my shadow and when you are on the chair lift it feel soo good

i dont think there was one time last winter where i skied not high.

allright, it sounds gay, but get ripped, go to your rental shop and try to get free snowblades for a day or something...its the funniest thing when your riding tiny skis through the park, and the fact everyone is hating on you so hard, but your having rediculous amounts of fun makes it so much funnier...obviously do this with your buddies cause its kinda gay if you do it by yourself haha

when i smoke and ski i always ditch my poles right away for some reason, then head over to the park, or sometimes just on the normal run, doing butters and hand drags really shittily. for some reason i have it in my head that i look just like pep and am the most baddass mofo ever.

i used to love to get high and ride the pipe but for some reason i wasnt able to hit anything else. now i barely smoke anymore, i prefer grabbing a few cold beers and going riding

It's different for everyone. There's some kid at the skate park that skates like shit when he walks in there. Goes behind the half pipe and rips a bowl and does nollie kickflip 180s. I have ski team every saturday at 6 am. Plan on a wake and bake, ski with the team a little, smoke another bowl and go shred with my friends the rest of the day. (Only ski till like 10 or 11am with the team)

it may not be toxic but it sure does create much more mental stimulation. and yeah if you're weak minded it will FUCK you. Personally I haven't tried it, don't think I ever will...but maybe.

For those of you who have never tried I am kind of incredulous.  Skiing and weed are the two greatest things on earth and separating them is like m&m's and candy shells (you can tell what preceded that statement).  Get out to your local smoke shack.

One of my favorite things to do. Its especially good when your mountain just got hit with 2 feet or more of fresh.

For park, I don't progress when I'm high. I just do what I already know how to do well because I can picture myself doing it in my head from past experience. I'd say I'm high in the park about 1/2 the time.

depends what i am skiing, I can not do anything that requires a lot of balance baked, like rails, i suck dick at rails baked, cant do it, but cliff hopping and jumps i am fine on baked, more confidence on jumps

When doing physical activity, it hardly does anything. Weed is such a weak substance. I put it in the same catagory as tea.

although cranking up the headphones and skiing endless fields of powder is quite nice...

I'm told by friends from BC, Germany, and Northern California that AK has the best bud in the world. I can't personally verify this though.

But weed really is a weak substance. I never understood why there is so much fuss over it. It doesn't make you hallucinate, experience ego death, induce time dilation, glossolalia, or any form of life-changing experience really. It just relaxes you, makes you think a little harder, dig music a LOT more, and makes some things funny.

This is why don't consider weed to be a drug.
