I need to know where to mount my skis. I am in the east and will be doing all park but when I go out west I will be doing mostly al mountain. If they aren't center would it make it a lot harder to ski switch and jib and spin?
No, you don't have to mount center to be good in park. The idea is that you grind rails underfoot, so the weight to either side of the skis is minimal compared to what you put down on the rail. Mounting too far towards traditional affects the swing weight, and you may be top heavy/have too much momentum in the front of your skis. I'd say mount them back a little bit from center, depending on what skis you're getting, and you should be fine for both all mountain and park.
sounds just like me! I mounted my ninthwards 1 cm back from center and they are balanced for grinding and spinning and they work well on groomers. The tips didn't dip all that much and i skiied at least 18" of pow so +-1-2 cm back is what i say
