You've waited long enough.
The National Weather Service says temps will drop into the mid 20s over the next two nights. And as we all learned in 2nd grade, that is below the freezing mark. Randy and the Miracle Makers are reporting for duty at 11pm tonight, and they will most likely fire up the fan guns on Launchpad in the wee hours of the morning.
And oh yes, we planned ahead. The mowing team has kept the grass on Launchpad buzzed short, so it won't take much snow to get 'er open. Remember last year, we opened a small terrain park on the Pad on October 29? We'll probably do that again.
Stay tuned in the coming days - winter is coming early.

I pulled this off of their snow report, if it means anything to anybody. So it looks I may head down tomorrow.
"Well, kids, it’s snowing right now. It started around 2pm and it’s still coming down. In fact, I’ll probably have to clean off my car with my phantom ice scraper. Feel free to donate one to Mount Snow, care of Halley O’Brien, Snow Reporter Extraordinaire.
Good news. We’re stockpiling snow at the summit right now in preparation of a top to bottom run AND a terrain park on opening day. Personally, I think early season downloading should consist of putting new music on a riding playlist, not sitting on a chairlift to get back to the base. That’s just me, though.
We’re planning on reopening Launch Pad to the public once again tomorrow, weather permitting. Same goes for this weekend, and we might open the Discovery lift. Hooray! Oh, and don’t toss your costume after Halloween… it might come in handy this Saturday. More details on that tomorrow…"
