You have so little time off when you are in one of the academies I don't think you are going to be going skiing anyway. The Navy is also way more bad ass than the Air Force too. Haha. I guess it depends what you are interested in more.

You will be lucky if you get 10 days a year in. Really. Plus all the air force guys are suck dick. Enjoy the haircut and 5 am wake up.

I know that I have had orders online from AFA, so there should be some skiers there.

Ok well to put all these rumors to rest (since most of these responses were BS):
1. Colorado pass cost about $350 for 18 and under and $450 for adult for EVERYONE.
2. The Liberty Pass is a Military only pass that cost $189 for Keystone and A-Basin.
3. I go to the Academy and I got 35 days my freshman year.
4. The bus that goes is part of ski club, they go all over the state to ski just about every weekend and a membership is only $50.
5. There is a suprisingly impressive crew of local skiers who came to the Academy so there are definitely people to ski with.
6. I got paid $750 last month and I don't pay for shit.
7. I went skydiving for free today, suck my balls.
8. You have the chance to try out for the skydiving team (Wings of Blue) and if you make it you skydive every day as a scheduled class for 3 years.
9. Air Force actually has the most advanced array special forces in the military (most TACP's actually lead the Navy Seals) and you have a much better chance of getting in from here.
10. There are 400-500 pilot slots available to each graduating class, so if you are physically qualified you will probably get to fly if you want to.
11. OLDS - my class exemplar.
If you have any questions ask me, I am always happy to help. By the way, the Naval Academy got a new Commander and Superintendent last year and it is gay as AIDS now. Their transfer students loved being here because their commander didn't let them leave much at all. Stupid.

whaaat. I was going to apply to the naval academy, possibly. i guess not anymore.
dude, are you getting in through your diving or what? I thought you had to have pretty much all A's from freshman year to senior year to make it into any military school...

AFA was where I put a lot of effort into getting into, ended up being an alternate. Definitely do AFA over navy, you're treated way better for 3 of your 4 years, and you will get to ski some. Air Force is supposedly the best run branch of the military too as far as how they treat their people, that academy was definitely recommended to me over any of the other ones by a lot of people.

One nice thing about the Academy is you can get recruited for a sport, quit if you don't want to do it anymore, and you still have a full ride and all that. A regular college will screw you if you don't keep with the sport.
