It is not letting me send any messages(friend requests, game invites, etc.).

my connection is fine and ive been playing some cod4, but i cant send messages. What is going on.

check your NAT.  if it is closed, it may not let you send messages to others withoug closed NAT.  I dont think there is anything you can do about NAT unless you contact your ISP.  it also might be the family settings on your xbox.

alright to end the arguments before they start-

Halo 3 - Garbage. just no.
Halo 2 - Best equal playing field FPS. Awesome competition - raised the bar
COD 4 - Best game if you want more realism (with the camo and sniping and stuff. like for shits sake you cant even lay down in halo...but you can jump like 40 feet in the air? GAY)

halo 2 > halo 3

cod5 is being made by some shit company...im not buying it, but I am stoke for cod6, which will be out like next spring I think, and its gonna be a Modern Warfare 2 I think

Yeah. Treyarch is making Call of Duty 5. They also made Call of Duty 3, which sucked. And your right Call of Duty 6 is coming out next year. It's most likely going to kick ass.

Halo pwns COD4. Halo the bullets go where your aimer is. In COD you can unload an entire clip at someone and not hit shit unless you are completely still. More real ya but fun suffers.

Halo there is a lot more skill. I COD you can camp like a mo fo. COD single player kills halo though.

Dumbest post ever.  Halo 2 is so beat compared to halo 3.  The ranking system in 2 was so fucked compared to 3.  In three you actually have to have skills to get up past 45, unlike halo2 where you could hack your way to the top.  Halo 3 has better maps, gameplay, weapons, and it has the theater and way more live playlists.  COD4 is still a great game, but I just have more fun playing halo3.... maybe because I'm better at halo 3.

word, all the noobs play cod4 because it's easy and they suck. Halo takes way more skill, I played cod4 and my first game had as many kills as deaths. I'm pretty sure if I played for a day It would be so easy it would be boring. Halo takes skill and is way more of a challenge. Too bad they keep making worse games, halo 1 > halo 2 > halo 3, but halo 3 still shits on cod4

your NAT settings all have to do with either your modem or your router my body has like it on restricted and it takes five minutes to find a single halo game through matchmaking

cod is has so much more variety and is so fun to play around with all the different weapons, with search and destroy you don't sneakily knife people so just play on that mode if you're a bitch about it, i think it's the most fun part of the game, also you don't have to shoot someone for like 40 minutes to finally kill them while they jump around 30 feet in the air

halo 2 campaign is fun but cod is better all around

i'm really glad i started this. i loved cod2 its still one of my favorite games ever i used to play that a shitton but cod4 really just doesn't appeal to me. i'm just not about the whole iraqi conflict gameplay aspect and every time i've played it with my friends who play it nonstop i'm literally just as good or better then them statistically. i prefer halo which requires much more skill, challenges me more, and simply is just a much much better engineered game. to each their own but cod4 is just really very very unappealing to me.

everyone that plays COD is so retarded. its not hard at all to sit in a dark corner and wait for someone to walk by and then you blow up some claymores. i play it with my friends sometimes and its so friggin boring. halo takes way way way more skill and teamwork. in cod it can be like 1 on 6 and the 1 guy can just sit in his faggish little corner and kill everyone. in halo there is no way the 1 is winning the 1 on 6 battle, especially if 2 people attack him at once. cod teaches you to be emo and sit in corners. halo teaches teamwork.

and for the thread maker, it may be that you have a silver subscription, instead of a gold?

^you couldnt be more wrong. first, you only get 2 claymores, so killing 6 is hard with only 2. second, barely anyone uses claymores. its only people sniping and have them behind them so no one sneaks up. you can deff kill 6 people 6v1 on halo. they give out awards for it and its really not hard. call of duty 6v1 i think is harder. if cod is boring to you, then you need to learn how to play. theres much more action in most cod levels then in halo. and teamwork? please.

they're 2 totally different games, with different engines, gameplay, and just the way the controller acts to certain movements. to argue that either is better is kinda dumb because of those factors. that and one is aimed at being realistic, the other clearly nothing like realistic. more people do play cod than halo tho.

personally i like cod because i like realistic games. and i was never really good at halo. it wasnt that im not tactical, or i cant shoot, or anything like that, i just like realistic games and the way they are setup. imo

and to end the post, you all are retarted by saying that cod5 is gonna suck because its made by a shit company. cod3 was better than 2, 4 better than 3, and now 5 will most likely improve too. and the game is using the same exact game engine because treyarch and infinity merged, therefore the company making 5 is the same as 4, as will be the same as 6. they just started making 5 before the merge, and converted the graphics engine to the one in 4.

actually to end it, cod5, flamethrowers. that is all.

when Halo 3 first came out it was the best game, I played it way too much and skipped class occasionally and got up to 47, then COD4 comes out and halo has not been in the 360 since.

Haha so true. But for a cereal answer to the thread-- in order to open your NAT, you might also need to forward the ports that your Xbox is using for XBL, especially if you're using wireless internet. Just google "xbox live port forwarding" or something there's a lot of info on the internet for how to do it.

ill never understand why nerds claim halo 2 is better than halo3. is it just to be against the grain?
anyway i love both games (cod4 and h3) but i gotta say halo's a little better. plus only every now and then do fags just camp and wait around to kill you. the two games balance each other out though, and no other game has been in the 360 since i first played cod4 and h3

GAY GAY GAY GAY.  and i'm not just saying that because i dislike halo. i mean shit, I BOUGHT LEGENDARY! thats how stoked i was on that game.  it takes no skill at all. the only thing that is hard is sniping.

halo 2 all day long.  Double shots? Quad shots?BXR's? hello? sickest things ever? things that were actually hard to do unlike shooting a warthog with a fucking beam so god damn big it encompasess the whole map? (honestly how can you miss with the spartan laser? its a waste of space) i think so. Auto-aim? yeah thats where halo 3 went wrong. it was so much more fun to play and so much more competative. lockout MLG, good mother of god that is the epitome of teamwork and fairness in the most badass game ever made. i dont give a shit about the graphics or the levels.  add more levels to halo 2 and it would shit on halo 3.

jim to open your NAT you need to go to your dashboard and go all the way to the last tab on the right. its under network settings or something. have fun!
