im 6"1 and 160lb (72kg) and i'm looking to buy some skis as im working a season this year. My current ability is a good intermediate, i can ski most runs pretty confidently love a bit of off piste and im getting into jumps. at the end of my last trip i was just about getting switch 180s on a pretty small jump.
skis im currently looking at are:
179cm K2 PEs.... (i've heard theyre too stiff, but im quite tall so....)
185cm Volkl Bridges...
176cm Armada Tanner Halls...
i want something that going to perform ok all over the mountain and not restrict me in the park or in the pow.
what do you think?

I'm 6'1" 76kg, and I rode 179 PEs all last season at centre sole recommended mounting point. I found them very heavy and stiff, and they don't really float very well in powder. If you're going to get them, make sure you mount them forward a bit (I'm remounting mine this coming season) otherwise the swing weight is really going to hamper you skiing park. I ended up buying some Fujatives towards the end of the season and the weight difference was ridiculous. Given a choice, I'd go back and pick another ski for all-mountain (probably a little fatter). I hear good things about Chronics, and I skied a mate's AR6s which would have been great if they'd had edges. Good luck making the choice! :)

look at ARVs, they're good in pow without restricting your park like the bridges.

PE and Bridges are on the stiffer side. T halls are soft with butter zones and such. PE will be the best in pow.

I have PE's used them for two season, and they were no that good in POW for me. Bridges I would think would be alot better.

i was actually thinking that they were narrower, but still they are super still and a lot of people use PEs all mtn. Its jsut that everyone here is retarded and centermounts skis and then bitches about how they ant ski pow
