I had a "Shitty" bail, literally.

So the other day we were riding and having a great day on this fun mid-sized park, everything was sweet.  Until I got the stupid idea to try an overflip, figured it'd be the opposite to doing unders.  Rolled up to this jump that was about a 20footer, with waaaay too much speed, and tried to throw an over.  Ended up completely bailing out, starting to spin, then ended up upside down and basically got  slammed right onto my back on the flat, about 40ft rather than 20.

  I landed so hard that I SHIT MY PANTS.  I'm not kidding.  At first I thought I was dead, then I thought it was my tail bone sticking out of my skin, then I realised it was a turd hanging out of my butt. Nice.  Some of the worst pain I've ever felt and I still can't feel my legs, but yeah has this ever happened to anybody? Why?  And yeah I pulled up the bottom of my pants and it rolled out. Haha

I feel bad cause I laughed a little when I read this. That sounds like a hard hit though. I hit a deer with my car a couple years ago and it shit all over the side of my car.... so I guess it happens.

Wait, so could I actually be hurt?  I'm in severe pain but, I had a comp the next day that I rode in, it hurt like hell but i was still able to ride.  And yeah my legs are just like dead. Should I get it checked out?

when i broke my L1 vertebrae i shit my pants... it has something to do with your spinal cord. I would suggest you go to a doctor because i didn't think my back was broke either. best of luck man

i apologise for laughing when i read that, it sounds rough. good luck on the recovery.
as the shitting goes, apparantly if you get caught in an avalanche you shit your pants, and if you dont, then your ment to, because it helps the dogs smell you. so maybe the body just releases it out in an impact. but yeah, dunno if that helped, hasnt hapend to me lol

yeah i would go get it checked too. most likely nothing but a gnarly fall, but the body does do weird things like that when nerves are damaged. for example when some people get a spinal cord injury they can have an erection at the time of the injury. or if you jack your cranial nerves when you hit your head your face will turn bright opposite colors from the bloodflow being immediately changed to the different parts of your face, corresponding with your cranial nerves.

if you look real hard here you will see the kid who rolls over to the right has what im talking about (his face is different colors). i had a  paramedic instructor who was involved somewhere in the story of his care and said that he had serious c spine injury.

My pants were mad stained down the bottom, I think it just kind of rolled out the side of my boxers.

Okay I'll finish the story, didn't want to but whatever.  Yeah I got back up after trying to wipe with my bandana (left it sitting there, pity the poor fool who picked that up and thought yay free bandana) and rode back down to the bottom cafe.  Went and wiped my butt but it was pretty much all good.  Went and sat down in the cafe and waited for my mates.  Saw them outside so I started to roll up my pants to walk to the carpark and THAT's when they rolled out. Onto the CAFE FLOOR!  I then went back into the bathroom and wiped crap off of my boots socks and pants.  When I went back out somebody had stepped in my turd, I was too out of it to pick them up, plus it would be mega embarrasing.  Hahaha then we went home.

And I'm skiing NZ in September.
