I can't decide so tell me what is best i can get the 08jjs for $375 and the 09jjs for $675.
I will be hittin up everything this year that means a little groomers but mostly this will be for pow i got my ar6s for the hard packed snow on the non pow days. Tell me how good the 08jjs are if you have tried them thanks

They are a very different ski. The new JJ is sort of like a mini ARG.
New one has sidecut inside of a reverse sidecut, and it's rockered. Looks fucking sick.
That is a good deal on the 08's though.

So I'd say if money isn't an issue go for the 09's. They will be better in the pow.

Just looked at yo profile and noticed you skied at Stevens. I've skied there my whole life. I'd go with 09's cause they have rocker and it will be better for the heavier snow. I was sooo close to getting JJ's last year but got Bacons instead, such a good decision. You might even look at Bibby Pro's. They are similar to Bacons but with Rocker. Just a thought. I wouldn't go last years JJ's though, not fat enough, and they are an "oldschool" ski more straight with a long turn radius which is good, but if you ski Stevens, you might want a more agile ski for all the trees and stuff. I'd go 09 JJ's or Bibby Pro's both are sick.
Or even something bigger and more rockered. I say this beacuse I got Bacons last year (and Anthems) thinking they'd be the fattest ski I'd ever own, and now I want an even bigger waisted ski with rocker. And since you already have AR6's for park and groomers and for non-pow conditions I'd get a pow specific ski, even if it will suck on groomers. Just bring both pairs and leave the AR6's in ski check until it gets tracked out. Hope that helps ya out.

The JJs are anything but heavy. They have always been light. The new ones are completely different skis, and look to be an amazing design. That isn't a bad deal on the 08s, but not great either. Not enough to go for them instead. I'd go for the 09s.

Ya I was gonna say, the 08's were sooooo fucking light, 09's didn't strike me as being suuuper light, but definitely not heavy, especially since they are a bigger ski.

Word, those 09's look like a really sick ski, just a really cool concept for sure. I think you will be happy, tell me how they are too I wish I could ski them.
Unfortunately I won't be at Stevens this year as I'm going to be a freshman at WWU so I'll be up at Baker, maybe I'll go to Stevens a day or two if I know I can go without a lift ticket.

i would go with the 09's dude. i have the 08's now and i was skiing with a guy from vail with the 09's last season and we were cruzing groomers and pow and he said they skiied great and handeled groomers just as good as mine so i would deff get the 09's. i love mine and have been considering getting the new ones. they're not as radicly shaped as everyone thinks, much mellower than the arg's. yay!.

There is someting to be said about a long, straight, soft, light ski, which the older JJ's were. I love them.
It looks like the 09 JJ's are probably an improvement in nearly every condition though.
