Yo I'm going to WWU next year and I wanna get a new pair of skis for all the pow I should be seeing up at Baker.
I'm 95% decided on getting Donner Party's but I'm not 100% sure.
Already have Bacons and Anthems but I definitely want rocker and I think I want reverse sidecut.
I know the snow is heavier in the PNW as I've been living her my entire life but skied other places too.
I've never been to Baker on an epic day....sad huh. But will I be fine riding a reverse sidecut rockered ski all day or will I have to switch over to Bacons if it gets tracked out? Or is there always pow to be found somewhere not too far away on the mtn?
I already posted this in gear talk but I wanted some opinions from people who ski at Baker a lot.
The only other ski I'm really considering are the Bluehouse Mavens. It's like a Donner Party but without reverse sidecut.
I don't plan on using this ski to just charge gnarly lines all day, more of a tree/bc jib/booter ski that can ski a gnarly line occasionaly. And there will be more trees and slackountry fun stuff anyway rather than gnar ass lines with huge cliffs and open faces.
