so true. the difference between 4bi9 and some of the others films is so minute.
i am bummed that stept got no nominations, i thought that the stept crew KILLED IT and deserved some more recognition for that.
same with will and the meatheads...not one nomination for that rail line or even the movie? come on, maybe im partial to the EC company, but still.
but 4bi9s movie was one of my favorite to watch at IF3

yeep, i mean, slamina was good, but come on, tom and henrick slayed, but their handrails were so repetative, and a lot of the footage didnt appear movie quality, the fact that tom and henricks segemnts fall last leaves everyone saying WOW THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING, but when you look at a movie from beginning to end, youll see wat i mean

he's right. compare the overall skiing in the segs. stept used the best of whatever feature they hit and 4bi9 had mad repeat features succeeded by less impressive tricks than before. i liked the plot behind stept too, not to say 4bi9 wasn't the most banger editing and filming, aj kills it with mad dedication. he deserved it but i dont think the movie did
why not was ridiculous, no nominations either.

yeah because you know from beginning to end, urban rail transfers, 360 switch ups, switch ons with no lip, massive switch bc, large tree bonks, overall big bc hits, handrails with poles sticking out of them, large quad kinks, urban pretzels and rarely any park shots are all sooo repetitive and not impressive at all...

listen, im not saying their movie wasnt great, it had some ridiculous shots ft: brady and witt and others to go along with tom and henrick, but i just felt like there were a lot of shots mixed in with all the mind blowers that werent movie worthy, some of the handrails were repeat in a lot of different segments, everyone needs to just calm down

im sorry, slamina was dope but you cant seriously say it was all bangers. brady (best seg imo), tom, henrik, and witt all had amazing segs, the others lacked in areas. you have to realize every am company (minus Voleurz) doesn't have a "large budget". we didn't have a single paying sponsor this year, everything out of pocket. did that stop us from going all over north america and hitting urban? nonetheless, aj is an amazing cinematographer and im obviously a bit of a sore loser for not winning a single category, who wouldnt be? the judging was pretty whack for the whole event though.. where was WHY NOT? Turbo not best of the year? Meathead nothing? (i was probably wayyyy too drunk if Filip won somethin but) what about Get Lucky? my 2nd favorite movie of the year
anyways, there was too much skyy and good times to be phased.

im sorry but i feel like stept always has some sort of hate for everyone else, and always tends to be sore losers. let it go, both slamina and road to nowhere were both super sick, and both companies did a good job on them.

The end of slamina was a total mind blowing.... they diserves it, but just to see how many urbans they hit in road to nowhere.... there was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much work behind that movie, its impressive.
And turbo diserves the best pro movie to my opinion, this movie is going to be a legend. I mean, not even a single price for that movie....
