Dalbello il moro boot

I skied the 08/09 IL Moro all last season and it's one of the best boots I've ever used. The middle buckle locks your foot into the heel pocket when riding switch, the boot board has plenty of shock absorption for stomping kickers, and the extra-wide snowboard style power strap eliminates shin bang. One added bonus to the IL Moro are the chains on the back that allow you to lock the boots together for easy carrying, attaching them to your back pack, or attracting the ladies.

As with all Dalbello boots, the IL Moro comes with two sets of easily replaceable tougnes for a stiff or softer flex depending on your personal perference. I used the stiff tounges all season and it it was soften enough to session park and hard enough to handle making turns in the BC.

I shrode those boots all of last season and this coming season.  no complaints they are light as hell, easy to get on and off, and the buckle system is siick. NEVER got shin bang.

I loved mine nice width super adjustable only complaint would be the ratchet strap starting to strip. Great boot though

been in the 07/08 il moros most of this season and love them.  Totally agree_Glen Plake def not a good sales person... his style is sooooo ol' skool.  Rocked Tecnica agent 100's for a few days at the start of the season and loved the way they felt but found my heels were too narrow for them so switched to the bellos (got them super cheap from Porters Tahoe_big ups those guys).  Anyway, they started off feeling way to soft and even after molding them too narrow for the first few days but now they've packed out a little they're mint. 

Definitely wouldn't recommend them for more than park or general mountain use though as even with the hard flex adjustments in I find them a bit flakey for bigger mountain or drops... If that's your realm then I'd go for one of the other Kryptons with a power strap for charging and a slightly more forgiving liner.

Other than that, they're sooooo light and the intuition liner is super nice - especially after molding them and I think if they fit your narrow feet then I can't recommend them enuff.

Go see your boot fitter...

I can pro form spk pros, or these. So the race for the right fit begins.

I never said you had narrow or wide feet... I said IF you have narow feet and they happen to fit you when you try them on, then, and only then do I recommend them as boots.

Don't know how you can compare them to SPKs tho... it's highly likely no same person will have ridden these 2 boots and got results that would put them on a level playing field - they're hell different fits and for hell different feet IMO

SPKs are much wider fitting than the dalbello krypton series. I found SPK boots too big in the heel area!

thanks for the input, When I get a chance to try them on we will see. My feet are like silly putty, theyll fit anything. and if you pres them to newspaper theyll copy the image and you can use them as a stamp. neet huh?

just becareful the krypton series has a small ankle pocket and it is difficult to expand only way to do it really is to punch a golf ball out of it, and they must be molded with the intuition liner

Do not get Dalbello if you have very small calfs. I am tall with small feet, so boots don't encompass any of calves, so I need a very small volume boot in the shin region. Dalbello shells and ID liners (will wrap all the way around in an uncomfortable way) will not get tight enough for tiny legs.

I love mine.

Only skied park with them though. I changed the stiffer tongues in April and was planning to ski some easy all-mountain with them too (on Gotamas&Dukes) but ended up skiing only tele on that trip (our Lapland hills are not super huge, so tele was a nice new challenge to me)

I am planning to try them with my Gotama/Duke set-up too. I wonder how it works? (cause I am used to the "race"-like position on my Lange Freerides). But those damn things are so comfy that I'd like to start using them everywhere. Even thinking about updating to a more "new school" powder/all-mountain set-up that would probably suit the Il Moro's better - like Hellbent's, Czars, Armada JP vs. Juliens etc. --> a bit softer, rockered, more center mounted ski would probably work better with that kind boot? Any thoughts on that?

i love mine. super comfortable and solid. A little heavy compared to full tilt. But you cant go wrong with them
