Hey everybody,
I'm a Dutch guy, 18 years, and I'm thinking about moving to USA/Canada when I'm done with school (one year left). I have the right level of education to study at a university, but I don't know if I should come to the other side of the ocean to study for a few years combined with skiing, or just go there for the skiing for one year combined with some working. I'm thinking about studying because it's more fun and easier to meet people that way, but I'm not sure yet what to choose.
What I also would like to know, which resort should be the best for me, combining studying and skiing? I thought about moving to Vancouver, combined with Whistler in the weekends, but I would like to know it when there are better options, preferably on the Westcoast.
Thanks in advance for all the help!

Vancouver, UBC and Whistler are probably your best bet, if you can get into UBC. i'm sure there are a lot of other options but if you're considering living in Vancouver then UBC should be in your sights.

i would go to summit county, colorado because you can ski more than just one mountain. in vancouver you can only ski whistler with one pass, but in colorado, you can ski Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly, and Arapahoe Basin, all with just one pass and all of these mountains are close to each other and are top rated.

Well in vancouver you got grouse, seymour cypress. early bird prices on seasons passes are quite cheap for a 10 minute drive, great for weeknights. and then yes you got whistler/blackcomb for weekends, and student pass for that is like 4 or 5x less expensive, then regular season passes there. and UBC is a sick school.
All times are Eastern (-5)
