Fires in BOULDER, CO

4 Fires in the Boulder, CO area.

I was driving down Foothills parway this morning around 9:30 and noticed a little puff of smoke coming from the Lefthand Canyon area.

I drove into Longmont to take care of a few things and headed back toward Boulder around noon. The little puffs turned into a raging inferno. It looked like a volcano had erupted. This was when it was reported to be between 60-70 acres. When I left to head down to Denver this evening the estimate was up to 500acres! And 3 more popped up to the south.

I have a bunch of good pics from around noon which I will post later.

yah news 4 is def reporting over 4000 acres in the overland fire. it's in downtown jamestown, where ever the hell that is. if you drive east into boulder on 36 you can see it really well. it's neat and sad at the same time.

i am up in FT Collins and live on the 10th floor of my building, and my dad lives in Longmont, he told to me to look out the window, it fuckin blew my mind. Its kinda freaky, the sky was covered. blue sky, then just a wall of grey and black. went all they way past Greeley, almost out to Ault, or even to the border w/ Kansas. Much love to everyone fighting and involved.
