As if global warming wasn't already enough of a problem, we have this to also look forward to: http://www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/
I'm sure many of you will hold your doubts, but Princeton scholars and our government laid down some pretty real facts about our world's oil consumption.
At 30 billion barrels consumed by the world's population every year (and its still going to increase as technology and population do too), we are well on our way to running out of our most precious source for energy.
What happens when you can't go to your local gas station for gas? What happens when the entire trucking industry can no longer deliver food to our grocery stores?
Its a pretty fucking long article with tons and tons of links to visit — but its pretty interesting.

If only I could have an optomistic view on our future.
I've always considered climate change to be of the most dangerous issues facing humanity. This unfortuantly is giving climate change a run for the money. To me it seems that we need a solution that will combat climate change and oil consumption at the same time. Something like renewable clean energies based in oil-free technology.
Everyone here on NS should at least skim through this article, totally make this sticky or something

we talked about this last year in my sociology class and every 1 bugs out even my teacher but its bull who rights and endorses and supplies money for the study and puiblication of most of those studies its the government this is a whole system of supply and demand if they tell us the oild is low they can charge more for it with a legitiment reason behind the rising prices. we have oil left there silt shale and a ton of reserves were not allowed to drill for becasue of the tree huggers china is drilling right off our coast and tappin into our oil so y arent we we should be harvesting wind off the east coast we should be working on geothernam in our national parks iceland wats to be 100 percent and then some geotherman in the nere future and what about the fasest and cleanest energy necular- france is 80 perct y arent we doing anything...if barack becomes pres well just have to save oil inflate out tires...if mccain becomes pres well be fighting over sees for oil for countless years to come instead of tapping into our own natural resources...people should have voted for ron paul as the gop nomination of if you vote vote libitarian party bob barr

as tempuratures warm up storms become stronger and percipataion increases. However, if the temps continue to rise this that percipatation will come down in rain not snow, and sadly this is gonna happen in a matter of years.

You obviously didn't read the article..and you can't spell or put together a formidable argument. I'd like to counter some of your points but I couldn't understand most of it.
