We are all rational adults here, lets retire our demands to be part of the "coolness" and admit to ourselves that are simply glorified rollerbladers who look sort of like snowboarders. Its okay to say yes!
i believe skiing was invented before rolerblading, therefore rollerblading is skiing on concrete. and its definately went into a ton more directions then rollerblading has. its has its similarities tho no doubt, i think anyone who has skied would be natural on rollerblades and vise verse.

this is crazy... park skiing is not rollerblading on snow... people did not start park skiing because of rollerblading. There are some influences from rollerblading but they are two different sports that have some similarities. Skiing was around before rollerblading and with terrain parks being made it's a natural evolution of the sport. If there was no such thing as rollerblading skiers would still be in the parks the same way they are today. With that said, of course there are some influences from rollerblading in park skiing.
rollerbladers started doing tricks and grinding rails and doing switch ups before skiers. general ballerina shit, which is hot in park skiing right now.
skiing down a gnarly mountain in no way can be associated with rollerblading.
it's super hard (for the first few weeks) going from skiing to blading, but if you went blading to skiing you will find that rails are super easy to learn and wayyy natural for you but most other stuff takes getting used to. skiing is way bigger and faster than rollerblading.
damnnn havent watched much blading since i got out of it a couple years ago, sean got crazy good. The 450 torque slide to true fish around the corner at the end was sooooo sick
I think theyre completely different things now.
But they have similar roots.
Like how skateboarding used to be street surfing.
But nobody even compares it to surfing anymore.
