man lately when I've been cruising on newschoolers, I've seen alot of people hating boaders. whats there deal?
don't you have friends that snowboard?

i think we just make fun of snowboarders because theyre doing something different (they do the same to us). oh well, its funny. no one's really being hateful. there are snowboarders (and skiers as well) out there that are dicks tho. so when were mad we direct our anger towards them. and the guys who are just being assholes will make fun of snowboarders despite how theyre acting....... like a few of the newbies on this site. no names.

i dont have a problem with snowboarders, most of my friends snowboard, but the stereotypical snowboarder, who goes down the mountain on his heel edge, cuts people off when they drop in, and doesnt clear the landing, give snowboarders a bad rep.

I ski with my friend everyother week and he rides a snowboard. I just hate the skier haters, and the no talent ass clowns that make fun of skiers while sitting on their ass in the park. I think snowboarding is sick and we should share the Mt. I wish everyone else was like this.

I think, us skiers looked up to them when newschool skiing was starting.
yea I have a bunch of boarder friends but the thing that pisses me off is that theres a tone of them in the park that are possurs and my resort, which really sucks. but I respect all the good ones that respect you.
But it's true lots of boarders at local mountains hate skiers. because they havnt even looked into newschool skiing. ohwell what are we gonna do...

out of all my buds im the only skier the rest snoboard, before they made fun of me, but thats when i sucked.....now i school them and they respect me,
i have no problem with boarders, only the ones who have a problem with skiers and no solid reason piss me off

Yeah, I only ski with other snowboarders, they're pretty cool as a group. I've met some snowboarder pros, and they're really chill towards skiing, it's just the no talent assholes that hate on skiing.

hey dirty that is kinda true how snowboarding does affect skiing and that it did give it the boost to start all this newschool tricks, but skiers push boarders alike, both sports push eachother to be better

At Tremblant I bailed on a 9 and crashed real hard. These snowboarders were staring right at me, I was expecting a 'You Suck, stay out of the park' but instead they said 'It's all good, don't worry, the only problem with skiing is that your skis can fall off'. I was totally blown away, considering my previous expierences with boarders. I've got so much more respect for them now, except for Chris Englesman, who's a fucking asshole.

TAOS RULES!!!!! I fucking hate the little trendy snowboarder kids that can't carve a turn to save thier life. Every time there is a steep face, guess what, it's all icy and the snow has been scraped off by the fucking ass raming snowboarders that can't turn. I don't hate all snowboarders, 1 in 10 can actually keep the snow on the mountain, but as for the rest, they can suck my balls.

all my friends snowboard. at my school there isnt anyone that likes the park, and is an actuall good skier, all of them are snowboarders. before we went skiing on the first time togethor they gave me so much shit, and then after seeing what i can do and how cool skiing is, they respect me and its tight. i go skiing with them all the time, and one of them even stopped snowboarding to ski, its coo.

I really hate blowing up. Snowboarders can pull off a fall, sometimes its not even really noticeable, but skiers usually lose something. I hate almost stomping a trick when my ski pops off and I have to run back up the jump stopping everyone.

the reason i dislike the average snowboarder is simple. 90% of snowboarders are assholes. i have even been spat on by them from the chiar, because i ski. i have a few snowboard buddies, they are cool. but the average, posing, arrogant overall fuck is something i can't stand and wont put up with.

Hmmm... basically the way i see it, the god boarders show respect. it's the bad ones that don't. And i hate those type of people.

Alot of boarders are really cool, I usually ride more with boarders than with other skiers. We should all take a lesson from them with their style. Even though there is quite a few shitty snowboarders out there.

Yep, its the ones who have style and can appreciate it that give props where props are due. I was sessioning a jump with a bunch of boarders who I didnt know thsi weekend. They had MAD style and were throwing cork 900 indy grabs smooth as could be, and I was trying to learn cork 7's off the same jump. When I finally landed one, the yall gave a big chear! It was really cool, and I havnt had any trouble with snowboarders being dicks to me becasue most of them I can outjump anyways. Its the ones who suck and dont know what style is that make fun of you cuz of what u ride. Teh boarders who are in the scene know that skiers can throw down just as good as boarders now. The rest of the posers can eat my ass, who cares what the ythink, no one else does.

Its not just in America the problem. When i was 12 i went on a school ski trip (im English) and there was only me and 1 other skiier, so naturally all the boarders were givin me a hard time but i ignored it. I went on the same trip 3 years later (im now 15) and there were 3 snowboarders and 57 skiiers. Just shows they will all get there commeuppance some day :-I

I can see how skiers from some areas can hate snowboarders - I hated snowboarders for a short time. At Blue until last year snowboarders were still under the thinking that skiing was only done by loser and old guys who hated snowboardres... so when skiers started going into the park they'd yell at us, cut us off, throw snowballs at us, and one time i even got landed on by a snowboarder... (that's when my pole came in handy). so when you got snowboarders doing that shit to you of course you're going to hate them. But now at like, almost every resort in the world both sports have grown to respect eachother so there is no reason to hate someone for what's on their feet (unless they stole your skis - but that's an unrelated topic). Now at Blue we got the hardcore snowboarders renting skis for the night and doing corked 7's off the biggest table there (snowplowing into the jump) and trying to ski pipe. none of them have got the guts up to hit anything switch yet, but we're working on them.

snowboarders are the shiiiiaaat. without them we would be absolutely nowhere. this site wouldn't even exist. hell if it wasn't for them we wouldn't even have parks either. snowboarding came along and gave the ski industry a much needed wake up call. we should be praising our forefathers not hating them. sure their is the odd asshole who snowboards, but skiing has it's assholes too. we need to stop all of this classing of people. 'New school', 'Big Mountain', 'Freestlye', 'Snowboarding', were all just trying to have a good time on the mountain. nuff said..

Hey. At my hill, it's just one huge park w/ a couple ropes. The boarder to skier ratio is like 200 to 5. the good boarder to good skier ratio is like...15 to .5
The only people i hear saying '2 planker wanker!' are the ones that suck goat ass. Seriously, it doesn't matter what you're riding on, if you're good, you're good. If i see a boarder do something sick...i say 'sick dude' and then vice versa. We have this one day a week thing where we switch up, it's pretty dam funny. makes you really respect eachother.
