Braces - Custom vs. Armor

My knee brace fitter gave me the choice of getting a custom brace by Don Joy,
or their Armor brace. I think I'm going to opt for the Custom brace because it's
supposed to fit better, but I want your opinion. Is there any reason to go for
the Armor brace? What's your experience?
I tore my ACL in Feb and had surgery in March, and am planning on skiing this
season.

i tore my acl when i was 11 and got it repaired when i was 15 so i might be able to assist... first off, if you got your acl fixed in march, you should be 100% by now strenth wise. And if you are 100%, you dont need a knee brace. they are big, clunky, give you rashes and fall down all the time. Let me emphasise... THEY FALL DOWN, you cannot keep them up due to the shape of the human leg. if they say you can, they are lying. But if you feel the need to get one, go for custom, it will fit. until it falls down

lol, I appreciate your response. My doctor and I have decided I will get a brace, and
at least use it in the beginning of the season. After that will depend on my knee and
whether or not I like the brace, I guess.
