Broken iPod touch question

so i dropped my touch getting out of a car today, and the bottom left corner is cracked pretty bade and there is a long hairline crack running from the bottom left to about 3/4ths up the right side. I am still covered by my limited warranty. I was wondering if anyone on here knows if that will cover the damage or if I will have to get apple care? thanks

they probably won't warentee a cracked screen because that qualifies as "abuse." And when did you buy the touch, becasue you have to get apple care real soon after buying it.

i got it in july, so im still covered by the warranty for a while and i can still get apple care. Will that cover the damage?

just found out that apple doesn't even cover acts of god, let alone an accident. It actually says in the terms and conditions that they will not cover an act of god. hahah at least that is funny.

my experience getting apple to fix something has been pretty bad. i took my girlfriends 4 year old ibook into a macstore because the screen wouldn't come on anymore and they told me it would be 1400 dollars "to see if they could fix it" what the fuck????

well why would you want to fix a 4 year old ibook anyway. and for 1400 you could almost get a macbook pro, or a black macbook.

If you go to there website and go to support, they will say what is covered by the warranty. Mine broke because the charge cord got water in it without me noticing and when i plugged my ipod into it, it completely died. I sent it into apple and they gave me a new one for free. Just go to apples website and they will tell you everything you need to know.
