as much as i HATE the pats, i feel bad for brady cause if it is the acl than i know how it feels..... i mean hes a d-bag and all but still its horrible to see a spors icon like that go and if i were a pats fan i would prolly commit suicide.... im colts fan and im contemplating life right now because of the fact that they got raped by the f-ing bears???
the only reason y i got up this mornin was to enjoy the glory of Purdue alumni in the NFL....
Bernard Pollard_ raped brady.... good and bad
Drew Brees_ fucking 3 tds and 343 yards
Kyle Orton_ 13 of 21 for 150yrds ( and no interceptions!!!)
Shawn Phillips had 9 tackles
any ways i do sorta kinda feel bad for d-bag tom but then again i dont.....

Im not saying the pats won't make the playoffs because they defiantly can especially if the rest of the AFC doesn't get off their ass but the might run into trouble because:
1. While you don't need a great QB to win you do need a good one. Matt Cassel is not a good qb, hes not even a good backup. The only way hes going to succeed is because of Randy Moss which brings me to my next point.
2. There's a good chance Randy Moss is gonna to be pissed. The only reason that he hasn't thrown bitch fits yet is because he got the TD record last year and they were undefeated. He also wants a ring. None of the above will happen this year. Maybe he has matured but probably not.

FUCK! Oh well, they are going to have a little bit harder of a time this year. They still have Moss, who still is sick. Also, they still have Bellicheck. They won't be like last year, but they will be ok.

ya he will do that from time to time.... just tell him that he has an appointment for another tv commercial and that should take care of him.....for awhile..... but then he will show up again and throw it to harrison who will prolly jus fumble then he will give wayne a pass and wayne will catch is but fall down or run out of bounds before getting hit... then peyton will hand the ball off to addi who will jus get a concussion and what not....
just wait until manning gets back on que with the recievers....

after reading the things posted in this thread, im ashamed to be a pats fan. most of you dont know anything about football, would like to lick bradys balls, and jumped on the bandwagon because they started to win and "you live or were born in boston". no wonder people hate NE/Boston sports fans so much...absolutely ashamed

haha nice post........ id be ashamed to.... o wait i am cause the colts lost to the f-ing bears!!!!!!
want to hear a story???? once upon a time the colts and bears went to the superbowl, for those of u that dont know ur geography chi-town is about 200 miles north of indy and my home town is right smack dab in the middle...... so any ways my school being 50/50 on the superbowl was in all out war with each other.... after the colts beat the bears in the superbowl we colts fans rubbed it in the bears faces for a day or two then dropped it well, now that the big bad bears beat the colts in week one it automatically makes the superbowl win two years ago worthless???? thats how the bears act......
any ways i hate every team thats not the colts or jets..... but isnt that hows its spossed to b unless u cheer for the lions?????

started the third most consecutive games ever, set numerous records last year that past elite qb's in most cases havent gotten close too, some highlights from last season include setting all-time NFL records for most touchdown passes in a season (50), highest touchdown-interception differential (+42), most games with three or more touchdown passes (12), most touchdown passes in a month (20 in October 2007), and highest completion percentage in a game (92.9 percent on Jan. 12, 2008). Brady's 117.2 passer rating in 2007 was the second highest of all-time, while his 4,806 passing yards were the third highest single-season total in league history, most points scored in a season (589), largest point differential in a season (+315) and most touchdowns in a season (75). Brady and receiver Randy Moss set an NFL single-season record in 2007 for most touchdown passes between a passer and a receiver (23), with Moss's 23 touchdown catches also setting a league record. Brady enters 2008 with a 14-3 (.824) playoff record, the second best in NFL history behind Bart Starr (9-1, .900). Brady is the only quarterback in NFL history to start and win three Super Bowls before his 28th birthday.
want me to keep going?
he came into the playoffs to replace an injured QB as a rookie and sent his severly undogged team into the superbowl, won, and then won 2 more times in the next 3 years. had a perfect reg season (yes i know theres no superbowl win, but still only done 3 times, 4 if u include the final win). theres so many stats/records that he has over other elite qb's in the past, to say hes not the best ever is debatable, but to say hes not top 3 is absurd and just ignorant.

consistancy...... i kno he was good before last year but no one will ever kno for sure if the 2007 season was just a fluke or the start of somethin crazy.... cause this season is f'd and the next couple wont be at his best..... i think had this injury not happen and he posted another record breaking season this year he would no doubt be considered one of the best of ALL-time......
in 50 years when brady manning and hopefully farve is retired all of their recods will have been broken and some new guy will be considered better.... is he??? maby or maby the training and coaching is just that much better.... cause look elway montanna unitus marino and young have had most of all of there records broken...... its not even fair to declare any one no matter who the best of all time

^consistancy...id say winning 3 superbowls in 4 years, being mvp in 2 or 3? its one of those, and then two years later having the season he did last year, for 6 years thats pretty consistant but ill admit time will only tell if he stays consistant throughout his career.
i think brady is good mostly because of the coaching. if he was on most other teams i dont think he would have had the success he did/is having. but true, next season hopefully we'll see him return and be 100% over the knee injury and not have it affect him and we will see if he still plays the same.
and about the records...true, records by the great players have been broken, but that doesnt mean that all of brady's will also. yes, players get bigger/faster/stronger, but thats on both sides of the ball. better offenses face better defenses. im sure after some time, some of the records from last season will be broken, but to say most, or even half of those, is pretty unlikely.

FACT: Many patriots players are a product of the system, such as David Givens, Willie McGinis, Daniel Graham, Deion Branch, Ty Law, the list goes on. All were great on the patriots and as soon as they left for bigger money they dropped off the map. I expect samuel to have a below average season, the eagles ask him to play man when that's not how he made 9 ints in a season.
But with that said, Brady is a VERY good quarterback, best in the game right now and easily top 5 all time. What we don't know is how much of that is brady and home much of it is belichick, because since 2000 when BB became the coach they have been together for every game. Now with brady out we can see how much of the success is due to brady and how much is because of Bill Belichick. Should be pretty interesting to see how the season unfolds

oh i agree with you bepo
and bills fans...yeah i think u guys will win the afc east. miamis obviously not going too, jets may or may not depending on how their season goes, and the pats, well it depends on how cassell does in the next few weeks. the defense is still very strong but i dont think they will win the wild card if it comes down to it and no one from the afc east will win superbowl.
and, jay who? :p

that just means that adalius thomas will have to break a couple more shoulders over the next few games along with the rest of the pats dominating defense, oh and dont forget about our dominating offensive line, and wide receivers you idiot, or our amazing special teams, isnt it hard to forget all of those things when you have such a good quarter back, hello randy moss, wes welker, and all star offensive line, i forgot about you guys

Wow, you're real original, never heard that one before. The pats defense is far from old. Wilfork, seymore and warren is on of the best d-lines in the league. Bruschi is old as fuck, mayo is a rookie, and thomas and vrabel are bother in their prime right now. Harrison clearly has lost a step, but merriweather is going to be solid in his second year pro, and hobbs and wheatly are solid and young. That just bruschi and harrison who are old, yet they're still very good.
We cut lynch because he was slow and wasn't a good fit. If he would have helped the team we would have kept him. Who cares if players are old as long as they play well?

I originally thought the pats were just releasing him so they can resign him after week 1, that way they don't have to pay him any guaranteed money. I dunno though, he looked kind of slow and missed some tackles, but he might be back. What I do know though is that Belichick will do what's best for the team.
Oh, and I also think if he's back the main reason will be to help in nickle packages versus teams like the colts where their tight end is more of a receiver, and hard for a linebacker to cover

it is a good thing because we kicked their asses. its funny you haven't mentioned your home team. they must suck.

you're right. they're very old. almost all of them have superbowl rings, been to the probowl, and played in numerous seasons. that and they have youngsters learning from them in training...
they cut lynch because they didnt need him. he really doesnt fit into their defense. where'd he go afterwards? no where. hes still a free agent and said if the pats offered him another opportunity to train with them again that he'd gladly join because during the time that he worked with them they were very professional and a good team that's well coached...

colts??? haha what a joke the pats will only have to worry about them if peyton and the recievers (besides gonzales) get the heads out of their asses and play some real colt football..... anyways dallas clark is an extremely tough guy to defend against.... and the jets rookie tightend dustin keller he is real fast and strong... kinda like greg olson of the bears but 8.386721978 times better...

haha, true. The only thing that made sunday good was the chargers loosing to the panthers and the colts getting rocked by the bears. If they both continue to suck I like our chances in the AFC, only the steelers are looking good right now

raped? how about buzzer beater? came down to the last few minutes? manning won 5 games in a row, first time its ever happened in his career. he played well 5 games in a row, first time ever happened. the catch made to keep the drive alive, very unlikely...god wasnt doing shit. it was more of a fluke for the giants winning if anything. ill give them all the props for winning, the team played very well and deserved if after the fight they went thru, but the fact that they won 5 games in a row for the last reg season game and then throughout playoffs for the first time in his career is simply just a fluke. hes not a very good qb and will never be anything like his brother the way hes going. he seriously lacks consistancy, well, actually hes consistantly medeocre (sp?).

if the giants repeat as superbowl champs I will NEVER log onto NS again. Bump this next feb, please.
If a mod in the future reads this and the giants won, please ban me. Seriously, that's how fucking convinced I am that the giants won't win, I don't even have them making the playoffs
