Portland is dope, so much to do everyday. You got hood all year round. The festivals going on downtown. Bars if you drink. It rains mostly hear, and we have very few snow days. Skateboarding is a really big think here portland. Everyone is mostly a democrat. There's lots of lake's and river's in the area. The beach is about 1hr 15min's from the west hills. They have tri met (bus and train) Lots of apartments and houses. 23rd is pretty dope to. There is this one pizza place there that will blow you away.
Plan on bringing coats and rain jackets. A lot of the city bikes to.
As for skiing, there's meadows, Timberline and ski bowl. Meadows is best for all around. Timberline has sick parks, but is hell on pow days (super flat). Lastly ski bowl is great for night session's, best for pow to. Ski bowl's park's are never worth going to. Except when WCS arrives.
That's really all i got for you since I'm only 14 and haven't seen much of Portland's nightlife and bars, concerts ect.
There is a lot of concerts though...a lot.
