Would a school drug policy violation affect my chance of getting into college.

to be completely honest i'm at the beginning of my junior year, and last year i got a gay ass 10 day drug suspension, and i'm wondering how much colleges really care. i have a solid 3.3, and do extraccurricular out the ass, so how could this fuck me over in the long run at college, or do colleges not even care?

ya colleges def. care, its just makes it that much harder for them to even consider you.. probably cuz why would they want a kid who does drugs to go their school and represent that school? shoulda thought about that before

Could they send that in with your transcript?
I don't think they would... But if you suspect they will, request a meeting with a counselor (sp?) and ask them. If so, go talk to your Vice Principle or your Principle (sp on both those, long day at school ahh) and see if you could somehow get it removed.

dont worry about it dude, my buddy got expelled the beginning of senior year. early in the year he got caught with a piece at school and got suspended, then a couple months later he was drunk at a football game and they expelled him. he finished up his classes online got his diploma and got into ohio state university which you need like a 3.5 for. as long as you have a decent gpa and test scores it shouldn't really matter, colleges know people make mistakes when their young. unless you're trying to get into some crazy private schools but with a 3.3 (no offense ha i was 3.0) you probably wouldnt be looking at anything too high end right?

It all depends on whether or not your school has a policy for or against reporting behavioral issues to colleges. Mine did not. But some do. Go talk to the dean or somebody in the know at your school and see what the policy is. If they dont report then you don't have to worry about it. If they do report then you might want to talk to the administration about whether or not there is any chance you can get them not to report it.

most colleges dont ask for any "perminant records" just transcripts and boards. i had a fille cabinant all to myself in high school and it didnt efect anything for me when choosing colleges. unless your actually going to be expelled it shouldnt matter. plus i had a pretty nice juveinille record as well didnt matter.
