A Bellingham publishing company that produces two quarterly titles is accepting applications for editorial internships to start immediately. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Senior Editor of frequency: The Snowboarder’s Journal and the Associate Editor of The Ski Journal and carry out day-to-day tasks essential to producing these two titles. Tasks will include anything from fact-checking and research to transcribing interviews, packaging magazines for shipment and editing and authoring articles for publication. A successful applicant should possess the following qualities:
- A genuine love for snowboarding and/or skiing and knowledge of the sports.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Good understanding of AP grammatical style.
Previously published works and editorial experience are an asset but not absolutely necessary. Hours are flexible based on individual needs but interns will be asked to commit to a minimum of 10 hours a week, preferably more. This is an unpaid internship and can be done for college credit.
