Scam?

Alright so i need your guys help, basically i am looking at getting a new lens for my camera, most likely the canon 70-200 i havent decided on whether f2.8 or f4....but thats for later, basically for you guys that have used IS (Image stabalization) and VR ( vibration reduction) lens, is it really that amazing...ive heard on the web that some guys only buy IS/VR lens, but ive met a couple people that have the non-IS version and the shots are simple amazing....so is IS/VR a scam or what up......any help will be K++++

if the instructions for the lense say it has those features then its not a scam. i just skimmed your post so idk if that helped or not

haha canon IS is not a scam. you might not necessarily need it, but it is not a scam.

no way. i just bought a new minolta lens with is/vr and its amazing. i dont think youd regret it.

alright so its between the 70-200 f4 IS and the 70-200 f2.8 NOT IS.....basically i am thinking go for the 2.8 without IS because IS dosn't help with low light, just with wobbly hands...so i could use that 2.8 for lower light situations.......experiences....comments help

haha no not yet...i think i will most likely go for the f2.8 just because if i am not inside i will most likely not be needing the is, i can just use a monopod..so that will be about 1400 with the 1.5x converter

but any other comments and experiences are greatly appreciated
