Ok guys i got a problem

ok so. first off i'm 18.

ok so i went off to school this year. 5 or 6 hours from my gf. we have only been dating a bit more than a month and now i dont know what to do. when i'm with her we have an amazng time. i really do like her and get along with her really well. but i'm at school now and i dont know what to do. :s

i'm at school now and thanks to my school and my programme. there are ALOT of girls. i have made some good friends and been chillin and dancin. and in that way i cant decide what to do :S

also i have been talking to my gf and one of her best friends and my being away is really rough on her.

so another reason i'm lost is that i know most relationships dont last so if thats the case i would miss out on some of really nice girls with similar interests as me here for no reason in the end.

i really like this girl and hate to see her hurting and would hate to hurt her more but well i just dont know what to do.

at school, gf 5 hours away at home. dont want to hurt her and cant decide what to do :S

on the plus side she's cool with me dancin.. just no more than that(which is totally reasonable).

break up with her.  i'm having a hard time not being an asshole, but come on, dude... you've been dating for a month, you now live 5+ hours apart, and you're probably about 18, so the bottom line is you're taking shit too seriously.  sorry, but she's just a girl and they make more of them every day.  go find a new one.

It kind of depends if you ask me. Exactly how much do you like here. Would you be fine waiting 4 years before you can see her on a regular basis again? Do you want to make the best of college and start getting with girls? To me it seems that waiting would be better in the long run, but 4 years? Damn.

thank you guys so much. and eric i totally agree yes in the long run it probably would be better.... thing is although i do think there is a long run to hold off for..... what are the chances really of it happening :s
also i know ya'll are right....it's just really hard.

how do i go about handling it. like i really dont want to hurt her. and though it sounds like shit i wanna do it in a way that i still seem like a good guy cause i really am. typing any of this is killing me cause i feel like a shitty ass hole for even thinking of it..

my best idea so far is to say something along the lines of....

"i know you are having a really really hard time handeling things with me gone.and i feel bad for being the cause of your problems. i think maybe the best way i can help you in the long run is to get myself out of your life. i really care abut you. and this is killing me but i hate to know that you're hurting because of me."

that is straight and from the heart...i wasnt totally thinking about any of this untill i found out how much she is hurting.

i dated a girl for four years, had a Tiffany and Co. size 6 all picked out for her, and she dumped me when i decided to move.  nobody, and i mean fucking nobody, is worth how much that hurt.  you're young, try not to take things too seriously.  date around and enjoy the wimmenz.  if you don't, i can promise you'll regret it.

Its been one month. You're still in the lovey dovey stage. That will end soon and you'll be angry if you didn't break up with her. Drama is going to happen sooner or later. They always do with girls.

long distance is so bad. i did it for like 8 months and when it ended it was like mad depressing and it didnt have a happy ending at all.
