Marker griffons

i was wondering if anyone knew anything about or had any experiences with these bindings
anything about the weight, durability and overall quality would be great +++karma
oh and my biggest question is it says thats its for lighter skiers, and im 150 pounds does that lighter ski comment translate into pussies, or just people under like 170

there just like the jesters but they have a smaller din range. they are lighter than the jester but its going to be at some cost. if you weigh more than like 120 and ski park at least kinda hard than i would just step up and get the jesters.

if you look at a picture of the jesters and griffons; the only difference is the DIN and materials. 

the color difference in the toewings and in the heel is where it was some metal (jesters) and some plastic composite (griffons).

we got a pair in our shop at the end of last season and they were light but didn't seem that tough i mean its a great binding and all if your concerned about weight but if your chargin hard you might reconsider.

Well, my main concern is obviously having them keep me in, and they are cheaper and lighter than jesters but I am not sure about the quality which is what im asking advice on
heres my ride profile
age-15 height- 5 11- weight- 150- would ski them mostly in back country type settings not park but would do a bit of park depending on when it opened
I'm mostly worried about how they are in back country settings, so again does the lighter skier comment mean pussies, or just lighter skiers

Im 18 like 150 and 5 '11'' and i dont think i would ride them. even in the back country. and i promise you wont regret it if you go to a higher din binding

well like i said we got a pair in the shop where i work at the end of the season. i never skied them but i skied the jester all last season and loved them no complaints but the griffin has a smaller din range only to like 12 and the toe wings are plastic instead of steel along with some other components on the heel piece. still a good binding but might not be enough depending on how you ski.

I might be using these bindings(Sitting on my kitchen table) this winter strictly for backcountry on a 110 waist ski.  I'm 135 and 6 foot.  In my mind I see no reason to set my din higher than 9...I would like some binding advice as well(not to thread jack sorry, just have the same questions you do)

I am not a fan of the new markers.

I would take a pair of turntables any day over them.  Even the new rossi scratch 150 and 200 models are better with the smaller heel mounting pattern and the side release only toe

im 6'1 165 and i ride a 12 din look. a 12 din is enough for almost anyone, then again, ive had really bad experiences with marker.....

if you ride a din of 10 or more get jesters, if you don't ...the griffons will be just fine. You don't weigh that much, I think the griffon will be fine. Think of it like a PX12 on acid.

listen to c burn.  theres no reason to get the jesters unless your at the higher end of the din .  A.t 150 lbs , your recommeded din is about 7.  I also weigh 150 and have my griffons set at 8 .  i'm a type 3+ skier and have had about 20 days on them and have not yet pre released but they did release when needed.  And don't fear the plastic , that shit is light and it works !!
