who the fuck cares...I could make the same points people make again and again (i.e. they keep the resorts open, they are just having fun, etc) but i guess it wouldnt matter to little 14 year-old punks who think theyre cooler than everyone else.

next time you try something like surfing or longboarding for your first time, I hope some douchebag and his crew start ripping on you saying how much you suck.  what's more, some of these gapers are prob nice, successful people who are prob laughing at your wannabe-gangster steeze.

i made a lot of assumptions there but you get my drift.  yeah gapers are funny and do funny things, and some unfunny things like snake u, clog up lines, etc.  but theres no need for such hate.  honestly I've only met one or two gapers who were assholes, the rest were nice and only said things like "you've got your skis on backwards" etc

I dont know about you, but I am looking forward to seeing gapers. I can/t understand why anyone on here woudn't be. IF you see gapers, it means that your skiing. I definately can't wait to see gapers.

In all seriousness, I love gapers.  They're some of the only people on the mountain who don't give a shit what other people think of them.  They represent the purest motivation for skiing: they're out there to HAVE FUN.  So when I ride up the chairlift with some working dad wearing jeans and a 49ers jacket who's out there hanging out with his kids skiing, not because it's cool but because it's fun, I'm stoked for them.  And if you're not, you're a douchebag.

the thing that pisses me off is that im new at skiing park.  and where i go there is only one park so all the good kids, gapers, and people like me are together.  im not cocky at all, i don't think im the shit i know im not good, but yet i don't suck. I don't snake people or stand at the top of the jump.  but what i don't understand is how are people dicks to you when you are just trying to learn how to ride park and because you fall makes you a gaper and shit.  i mean i try my hardest and yet i still get shit from people because im not good ehough to be in the park, so i get labled as a gaper.  i think you should have the higest respect for someone who is trying to ride.

the parks around here are already congested enough. we shouldn't have to wait longer for a gaper trying to hit a jump at 5 mph.

Gapers are fun. I do like the anti gaper shirt though.
Last year some gapers came up to me all thugged up with bandanas and what not asking to buy some bud. I told them I was a dealer and had them going for a while. I just hope my hill starts enforcing its no rental skis in the park rule. That will be fun.

im not gonna lie, i used to be mad gaper when i first started. im talkin rentals side of jumps and wearing a track jacket with a helmet full of stickers. It was bad. But one thing i never did was disrespect anyone. I knew mv place and never cut anyone off and waited mv turn in line. Im glad though because no one ever made fun of me, to my face at least. I said I was going to get better at skiing and I did, we all gotta start somewhere

eh, it's just another part of skiing.
i've met some way nice ones before. i mean, it's kind of complicated explaining some things, like why i have "double tips" and my heel isn't attached to my ski...
and sure, they don't always get everything 100% the way you want it, but so what. that's a part of ski season.

Hahaha yeah...I'm actually the one rocking the Levis and Starter jacket.  Seriously, though, I thought about doing that just as an "anti-fashion" statement.  Now that my place of residence is soon to be Florida, that'll probably be even more appropriate for my trips back out west.

Farmers! ive skied with some farmers before, and they're mad ill. they just ride like every day all winter cause theres nothing else to do for them. and they get free money from the government. farmers are the shit!
