They are actually worn down past manufacturer's specifications which simply means that if you take them to a shop to have them fitted to skis many places won't do it and the ones that do will make you sign a waiver because of possible unwanted binding release (I never had this problem though).
The boots are FREE as stated in the thread title, all you have to do is pay shipping and they are yours.
