First of all, FUck it, i shouldnt have to pay money to buy goods from america, i mean, im giving money to the economy (and same thing vice versa). but anyway, im looking to buy a camera soon, and i was wondering how duty works... the camera costs 505 dollars canadian, and its from the states, how much will the duty be, and how do you figure out how much it will be?

hmm I dont know. I'm no good at math. make a pilgramage to the duty free store on the boarder! I got a huge pack of smarties I got there for $.50 (usd) Good stuff, and they're a lot more in usa!

ok nobody here is helping you so i will teach you from my many painful experiences. first of all if you ship usps then if it is declared for a value of $20cdn or less it will be duty free, however most stores wont do that for you because it isnt really legit. other way is to do it courior airmail. most courior airmai is exempt. dont use ups. fedex is best. so fedex express airmail or something like that.
