I don't think its the fact that Whistler could easily afford those rails, but I'm guessing its the principle that if people are gonna steal shit they aren't goning to make new rails. Thats shitty though. Expensive rails, $800.

I agree that its more about the principle behind people stealing the rails...intrawest losing 800$ would the equivelent of me losing a canadian penny

^ Yes - this is a valid point. It would take a lot of theft before we said 'screw it' and stopped replacing them though.

Please understand that the way budgets work is not that Intrawest has millions of dollars to throw where ever. All the resorts are on their own books, and the budget for the terrain park is only so big. Once the dollars are spent, they are spent.

2 weeks ago I went to Outdoor school Camp with my grade.My teacher was in a Field talking to his Girlfriend at 11:30 pm, my friend and I were suspicious so we flashed a flaslight in the eyes of my teacher and they were closed. The term riders is often used by communications folks to replace the term 'skiers and snowboarders' - everyone rides. There are no fingers being pointed here at all.

thats so uncool, skiers are to cool to do that. we make our own rails. it was probably some asian tourists that wanted to bring a souvenir back to japan
