Should I get a cat?

I'm living by myself for the first time and I'm thinking about getting a cat. However, I've never had a cat or really had any friends or family with cats. What are the pros and cons? Are they a lot of work? And what do I do with it when i move out? Also...kitten or grow-up cat?

oh yeah dont let your cat outside. it sucks when they get addicted and dont stop meowing in the morning until you let them out

Yes. Although buying a cat is kind of risky because a cat can either be really cool, or really lame. If you get an awesome cat, then you couldn't ask more out of a pet.

my cats badass he killed a fox and gets like two rabbits a night then eats em
and if you get a cat and leave you can just leave them and not have to worry
