im going out to montana state univ. and i wanted to know who rides in montana? how good is the bridger bowl park, like whats the setup? hows the big sky park, whats the setup? any montana photos or videos?

well montana is sick. currently big skys park blows. they are boyne resorts so the jumps are capped at 30 feet i do beleive. bridgers park i hear isnt worth the time, but they make up for it with terrain and snow. big sky also has a shit load of terrain and a shit load of snow. great divide currently has the best park (well last season) i would say. i may be bias cause ilive here, and i didn't get out to big mountain until right now where im staring at it with out any snow. a ton of people ride MT and a good amount of them go to MSU so you shouldnt have a hard time finding some people that ski

i go to school in missoula, and there is a lot of back country stuff around here.....but not half as dope as big sky, but big sky is one of the best mountains i have ever skied...

dude, I just moved to missoula.  All i could think was thank god I don't have to ski park anymore...  The terrain is sick, even if bozeman area is bigger, this shits pretty legit.

You might want to be thinking of switching up your riding from park to powder if you're Montana bound. My personal suggestion is Big Mtn in Whitefish.

Bridger's park sucks so bad. The owners supposedly hate parks but added a mini one to shut people up. The terrain is awesome there and there are plenty of people who build money booters in the BC and some in bounds.

I don't think Big sky's park is that bad. Nothing huge but pretty well kept and a ton of rails. There is a pipe and quarter pipe too.

Haven't been to Whitefish but I have heard it is incredible.

Missoula skiing is awesome. No parks but the snow and terrain have been insane every time I have skied it. Lost trail powder mountain is south of Missoula like an hour and a half and i had more fun skiing there than most big resorts I've skied. Snow was incredible. Knee deep all day under bluebird skies... no park and small but the skiing ruled.

Bridger park sucks but they terrain is awesome.
Big Sky Park, IMO is pretty fun but it feels like they could do so much more with it, for example there is basically one line top to bottom through it. Big SKy has some nice terrain but it is way over crowded.
Havent been to Moonlight yet but I hear they have some fun terrain and some good jibs in their park.

I'm a msu as well. Bridger park is not worth mentioning, big sky's has a couple tables and a couple rails, moonlight has a bunch of rails with few jumps. You should focus on some pow pow cause it can get pretty deep out here

Out of all the places I have been to in MT I would have to say
1.  Moonlight Basin, the headwaters is sick
2.  Big Mountain
3.  Lost Trail
4.  Big Sky  too much hype

Never been to bridger but really want to.  How about snowbowl

I disagree on the moonlight thing.  If i'm going to drive that far I would way rather ski big sky.  I grew up at big mountain so i'm definitely partial to it and for good reason.

I go to MSu and im from washington. Montana has by far the worst parks i have ever been to. But fuck it, cause it pretty much snows all the time after feb. And Bridger doesnt have a park at all. Only like four rails, with no jumps. But big sky isnt worth going to at all, way to flat everywhere but lone peak and one other chair, and is like an hour from the school. Get some fats and a pass to bridger.

I am of course UM biased. But my old stomping ground of Lost Trail can't be beat on a Thursday (they are closed Mon-Wed) and Snow Bowl is so damn close its easy to sneak a few runs in between classes. Big Sky is great, especially when the Lone Peak tram is running and the crowds are busy other places.

BUT the backcountry in MT is why we love it there.
