Tired of reading the same thing over and over

I'm sick of every ski recommendation thread turning into the exact same thing. Maybe it's a bit of an exaggeration, but the 09 Armada JJ has replaced the Hellbent as the recommended ski of choice of people on Newschoolers who have no idea what they're talking about, haven't demoed any skis, and just give opinions based on what they hear from other people and what they see people riding in edits. 09 JJ, Rossi FKS, and SPKs. Over and over and over. That's the most common recommendation on here. It's listed in threads by people that are just posting to post. Give helpful and quality recommendations, don't just repeat what everyone hears and posts about. I'm sure this setup is quality, but it's not for everyone that makes a thread to get some input. If you don't have any helpful input to help the thread creator, then don't post. It's simple. Not trying to hate, just a little venting. Any thoughts?

pretty spot on...but i mean what do you expect, people follow trends to try and be as good as everyone else, what they dont realize is that that pros could shred with elan skis and salomon 710's... people just need to learn a little originality, kinda of a difficult expectation for some though

I agree. People who haven't tried the skis they're recommanding shouldn't recommand them to others. Off course a comment on a ski's graphics is cool, but writing articles on it's skiing ability should left to people who actually knows what they're talking about.

FKS - the most bomber biding ever so why wouldn't you recommend it? seconded on NS by the jester which is justified.
SPK - If it fits it's amazing I absolutely love mine as they are solid enough and ride the way i like, so I recommend them but always advise a bootfitter. But I think you'll find that Full Tilt are replacing the SPK as an NS favourite.
JJ - the most hotly anticipated ski of the year that seems to contain every quality necesarry for the ultimate all mountain twin, expect from maybe it's width that is. Why would you not expect people to be interested/hyped about it,,,

You may have picked 3 of the most solid things around and tried to question people why they are advising them/ not being comfortable with these recommendations. Howcome?

I'm not questioning the quality or legitness of the gear, just that it's what everyone recommends. I guarantee at least half of the people that recommend it don't use it and haven't tried it. That's what I'm questioning. My original post sounds too much like I'm calling out that specific setup, and that wasn't my intention. My focus was to bring attention to the fact that too many people on here recommend stuff that they have no knowledge or experience with, and there's something wrong with that. Most NSers I believe have enough knowledge about ski gear to not be influenced by a poor recommendation, but there are some younger guys and girls on here that aren't as experienced with skiing and gear. Only recommend things you've tried. That's what I was going for.
