Would you buy this ski invention?

So the $70,000 skis thread got me going again on an idea thats been brewing in my head for years- What if a manufacturer took something like the RECCO devices found on much of todays outerwear and incorporated them into a pair of skis or maybe just bindings? Then each ski would transmit a signal that could be located by an avy beacon or similar device. Of course, this signal would have to be on a different frequency or distinguishable from a beacon signal so as not to confuse rescuers searching for a buried avy victim. These devices would eliminate those gay pink powder leashes and those grueling wasted powder days spent probing in waist deep snow to find that ski you launched after the days first yard-sale. At first, i thought to mount them right on the skis but afterward thought it might be better to just incorporate them on bindings so they are more of an optional feature depending on the skis you want.
Do you NewSchoolers think this is a viable product and if so, how much would you be willing to spend. Feel free to add design suggestions as well. I would spend an extra $100-$200 to have something like this on my powder skis but what about you guys?
And if any ski manufacturers just saw the lightbulb in their brain turn on: feel free to steal the idea just make it soon and make sure im the first to get a pair.

i would def. spend 100-200 dollars one equipment like this... i have also had this same idea (using a recco reflector for your skis, but obvs not an avy freq.) last season i spent a good 2 hours looking for one of my ep's in the snow when it turned out to be about 5 feet away from where i originally landed... and i didnt even find it, some random that was passing through the area that i had been tearing up found it...
but it worries me, especially skiing on a near $1000 powder setups, to lose a ski.. and i would def. invest in this...

Obviously it would be expensive at first, but it would get much cheaper as it is used more. You can find those RECCO things even on cheap gaper pants now.

The problem is you would have to come up with an entirely new system. You can't use recco because when a victim is in an avalanche, rescuers/patrollers are only concerned with finding the people. They don't give a fuck about the equipment. If I was in a slide, I wouldn't want the patrollers confused by multiple signals.
that said, an entirely new system would be very costly to manufacture and put in place. Most resorts wouldn't care about getting that technology, because it won't make them any money or get them any extra credit from consumers. It would have to be a system with a small receiver you could carry on you to lead you to the equipment.
It's an interesting idea though.

im pretty sure the op intended on having it come with a personal receiver... it would be silly to have the mountain recover them... much easier just to have a little receiver in your pocket or pack.

the only real use of that would be if you want to go back and find your skis after cus that would confuse rescuers becuase skis come out
