M1s or Rubies or Helix?

 Ok... so i created a thread earlier... and it was for M1s against gotamas and i decided that the M1 would probly be a better ski for me...   But then someone in the last thread said that Rubies in a 190 might be better than an M1 182 for me... And when i contacted Moment they said that the rubies might be better also but they said either one would work pretty well for what i want... What i want is a fast ski thats manuverable and can ski all mountain in the east coast ( up around jay peak/ mad river glen area ) but can also handle the the powder out west or in chile... someone said that the M1 is not great for real deep stuff which i will get on my trips west and south to chile.... Another ski which looks interesting to me is the liberty helix.... i dont know much about the helix but from what i hear they seem to be a great skis all around.... I am 6'2 but am still growing and could be up to 6'5... However i am very light.... i weigh 140 lbs.... I tend to like really stiff skis...  And i like to ski glades, bowls, chutes and just some groomers...   Can somebody give me some advice on which one of these skis or if they have another ski in mind would be best for me? Thanks...

Have you conciderated the garbones???

 It's the rockered version of the m. You got the best elemetn of the m1 for hardpack and the rockered tips for deeper stufff.

Ive never skied a rockered ski before and im not sure if i want to risk my money on it... would the rocker be good for hardpack though ? or just okay? because i would prefer something good on hardpack not just okay....

with just the tip rocker you wouldn't sacrifice much on the groomers and you would have far superior powder perfromance.  the m1s are pretty damn stiff, unless moment made the 09s softer. 

the helix also sounds like a good option for you, it has a medium flex and minimal camber.  i have the hazmat, which is basically a skinier helix.  i love my skis and a little extra girth would make it just about perfect for a all mountain ski.

ok but would 190 rubies be a bad choice for out east b/c some people are recomending them but ive heard that theyre kinda soft and i like semi-stiff to stiff as hell...

They are a little floppy.  I'd say that the 3 skis you're comparing go something like this, softest to stiffest:   rubies, helix, m1.

Ok then maybe the rubies arent for me... maybe i should check out garbones and helix and still maybe M1....  any other ideas for good ones for me?

you could also look at 4frnt EHPs or line motherships

I think motherships would probably be too soft... ( i imagine them being soft like most line skis)... dont know much bout EHPs... but ive heard theyre pretty good

no man, motherships are stiff. they are a charging ski, but yes, most line skis are soft. this one, however is definitely not. they're bringing it back this year, looks to be pretty nice

hmmmmmmm.... ill have to consider those then.... Idk.... i just want someting that can charge and float in powder but can also cruise and be turny on groomers.... idk if ill be able to find this "ideal ski" but im gonna start doing some research right now to see if i can find it...

the s6 is a good choice. it floats in the powder bu can still handle trees and groomers

I think the JJs look amazing... But im not sure if they would handle ice and groomers very well.... If i lived out west all year thats probably what i would get... If anyone knows how they ski on groomers or if anyone has a review on them then i would appreciate it.... The S6 also sound good.  I think ive narrowed it down to S6, Helix, JJs (idk? if i can hear about them then possibly), and garbones... If anyone has reviews on any of these id really apreciate to hear about them

I couldnt find a review for the JJs but man they look sick.... but idk if theyll be good for any groomers!? anyone know?

yeah dude you want a rugged kill everything ski the mothership is where its at. If you're not going rockered that's your ski.  otherwise go with like the 4frnt ehp, the salomon czar, or something of that sort.  There are a lot of different types of rocker to deal with.  the seth might be a good choice, i skied next years and they slay variable snow.

Thanks bike rocker.... but can you explain something to me please.... I understand what a rockered ski is but how will it ski on an east coast groomer? will i have lots of trouble or will it just be a matter of getting used to? thanks
